Default Chargers Select Rayshawn Jenkins, S - Miami, 113th Overall

Bolstering the secondary is a good thing.

Gimme a DT next, TT!

He can cover. has range and speed. Sounds like a FS.

The best Offense is a good Defense.

How does he compare with the other safeties picked ahead of him? Thompson and Jackson.

No...this is a SS or dime linebacker. No history of coverage or ball skills. Just another thumper. Who the hell is gonna play single high is what I'd like to know.

Don't like the pick

Like I stated in the other thread... wanted Kazee at this selection. Nickle corner with a knack for making huge plays in big situations. I am intrigued with the speed Jenkins demonstrated considering his weight. A bit surprised they did not go with King too.

Is this sarcasm? Every single scouting report available online on him says he has no cover skills what so ever but his size and speed allow him to maybe be a decent SS in a couple years.

I doubt he ever becomes a FS because he has no cover skills and major tackling issues as well.

Bigger and Faster than Cyprien. He will be a box SS in our new D... playing that Cyprien / Chancellor role.

Big, fast, physical are keys to develop here. Chancellor was a 5th rounded and is now a premier SS in the league. Cyprien was one of the highest graded safeties per PFF last year with an 88 grade.

Gus Bradley told Chargers' fourth-round pick Rayshawn Jenkins he'll be a box safety, similar to the role Kam Chancellor had in that scheme.

Who knows

Rooting for the guy, though
