Don't know much about the guy other than the hype from the senior bowl but I love his speed and instincts. He's a passrushing threat up the middle too. If we can snag him with a 7th per your mock, there has to be a catch, anyone care to enlighten?

Yea WalterFootball has him projected in 5-7, CBS has him projected in the 6th so I don't know that he falls all the way to the 7th, but that's where my mock is coming from and hoping that he's there. Wouldn't be surprised if someone took a chance and scooped him up earlier though.

I love his tackling, you pretty much never see a player make forward progress against him, he wraps guys up and drives them back when he makes tackles. Seems to have good awareness and speed too.

According to some people on other forums he's inconsistent, and

very good against the run, very questionable against the pass

i go to fsu right now and i have to say my opinion of Vince has changed. his junior year i though he was bad, slow to react, slow and bad in coverage. his senior year however he showed me a different speed out there. yes he has a great line up front but he still made plenty of plays as well as improved a lot on pass coverage. my friend was on ps squad at fsu and he would always tell me how vince was a good guy and leader, and how people would say he was bad but he would show different in practice.

I go to FSU as well so I've seen alot of him. He didn't play any great TEs but he was solid in coverage all year. He has good speed and is a hard hitter. Some people might say that he's overrated because of the Dline but I think the FSU Dts were the overrated ones. I'd definitely love to have him on the team.

Just read article saying Vince Williams would be a steal if he made it to the 4th round. This talk about him in the 7th is long gone now

And also he only has 2 years of playing much/putting up much production, and if that one poster is correct he only has 1 year of looking solid.
