A few years ago, Rivers would dramatically underthrow VJ long too. Even if VJ had 5 yards on his guy, it would be for naught because Rivers couldn't get the ball close enough and the DB would catch up.

The difference is that VJ would still get other types of receptions, the long ones would have been nice but the 2 developed a good rapport regardless.

For whatever reason, this second part has not happened with Meachem.

He dropped 2 I think, along with a couple against the Bangles and at least 1 yesterday.
