Here is a link to a cool article with Ochs in it. They lost the game to Madison, but they made Sportscenters top 10 for a hit. ![]() |

sounds liek he might be able to fight for a spot on the roster for next year. it will be tough though because the coaching staff likes cleo lemon as their third option.

I'm rootin' for Ochs all the way. Anyone from S.D. State, 'SC, UM, or Colorado is good in my book.(They are all colleges near where I have lived).

The best chance he has is the practice squad. If he can challenge Cleo Lemon for the third QB spot then that'll be an accomplishment.

I hope he can keep a place on the team through the practice squad or NFL Europe. This year he doesnt have a shot to make the team (IMHO), but when either Rivers or Brees gets traded that will open up a spot...and I hope it is his. Cleo Lemon has ALOT of respect from the players and obviously from the coaching staff. He knows the Chargers offense better than Rivers at this point...(he has been here longer) and he brings skills to the table that neither RIvers or Brees really has.......I dont see Lemon getting cut this year. I havent EVER seen a game that Lemon has played for the Bolts....not even a single play....I didnt get a chance to EVER see Dave Dickenson take a single snap....I sure hope I get to see more Chargersl games this year so I can see some of these guys. |

I've heard Lemon has the best deep ball BY FAR out of all of our QBs. I can't wail til pre-season.

This is the Craig Ochs story from the main page.....I thought it was a great read! The NFL scouting analysis of Ochs is he is an accurate passer with a quick release, but he doesn’t have a strong arm. Ochs believes he makes up for the lack of arm strength with his understanding of the game. “I don’t have a cannon, but I get the ball there,” he said. “The thing I like about football is the mental aspect is like a chess match. You’re always challenging yourself and trying to improve yourself. I want to come in and compete for the third job. If I end up on the practice squad, I’ll go whatever direction they want.” Last edited by IgorUnchained; 05-03-2005 at 11:25 PM.. |

I like this kid, I think the chargers signed him for a security blanket..Keep him around for a year, either on the practice squad, or nfl europe...until this whole thing with Brees and Rivers plays out, after next season, then we will still have 3rd sting QB
