Default Rivers Passer Rating in 4th qtr. = 135!!

I just saw on espn during my lunch break that Philip Rivers' passer rating in the fourth quarter is 135....best in the NFL.

I know we already have a million Rivers appreciation threads for , but I thought this should be posted because it shows that Rivers is also a strong closer.

This is the kind of stat I love...He's CLUTCH!!

[edit] adding to this, he is also 4th in the NFL in overall completion percentage (66.7%) and 8th in overall passer rating (94.5).

I see this as a smack in the face of Martyball because it shows we would be better off throwing it 90% of the time in 4th rather than running it. Of course LT has the experience and greatness but Rivers has the ability to unleash his force as well as LTs Gates' Kmacs Parkers VJs and now Floyds. Whether we are down or up in the 4th I will feel confident if Rivers is getting and throwing the ball

Those are some good stats. Lets hope we'll never lose a 4th qtr lead again.

forget running 90% or passing 90%

just keep it balanced, that's the way to really kill teams

this tells me that PR is money when the game is on the line

I'm not hating on PR or anything, but he hasnt thrown that many fourth qtr passes...he practically threw none in the first two games.
