We should thank Marty for turning our team around, he does that well. I think he should go and turn the Dolphins around and we should promote Cam and get a new OC.
Wait I thought It was Parker!!

I like Marty. He's a great coach from August to December. But, what about January/February? We need a coach then too.
Marty did not drop two passes (at least) and muff a punt (see E. Parker).
Marty did not drop two passes (at least) and fail to drag a foot in the endzone for a TD (see V. Jackson).
Marty did not drop a pass at the two yard line when he hit the ground (see A. Gates).
Marty did not fumble an interception (see M. McCree).
Marty did not drop a sure interception (see C. Hart).
Marty did not have two lousy punts (see M. Scifries).
Marty did not get a personal foul for being an idiot (see D. Florence).
Marty did not get blatantly held at least three times and not get one holding call (see S. Merriman).
Marty did not get beat like a rented mule on the crucial 4th and eleven play in the first quarter (see S. Olivea).
Marty did not let the Patriots go 60 some yards in the last two minutes of the first half for a momentum changing score (see everyone on D).

But, hey...let's blame him anyway. It is easier that analyzing things objectively.

True, but Marty trained players did all those things.

Do Belicheck and other successful playoff coaches allow their teams to commit 2 personal fouls in the 4th Qtr of a playoff games? NEVER! Remember "The Drive" when Elway took down Marty's incredible team when he was a Brown? A personal foul kept THAT drive going!

Marty has made a living walking the sidelines yelling "Poise!" AND "One play at a time!" just like an ineffective parent yelling constantly at brat kids.
This poll is ridiculous because.....to quote Tony Dungy this weeked...

Two is a coincedence.....3 is a pattern...no matter what this poll says...He's Gone!

If that is the reasoning that Dean Spanos will use...then Marty is done.

But, I think Dean Spanos will make the "best decision" to win games now, which is in 2007, and keep and/or extend Marty.

rlee100 - Great coaches get the best out of players. If Belicheck was OUR coach yesterday, your list would be 75% shorter - Winners, win.....Losers, lose and great coaches minimize penalalties and miscues. MArty's legacy is a mountain of these!

I agree, Give him his last contract year. But I think he will need to win the Super Bowl next year for him to be resigned. I just don't see a better coach available right now. No, not better, make that not even as good. Plus, we don't want to shake up the team more than once with a coaching change. No way we make a change just for sake of change. And as far as Spanos, see next post.

Default remember, never 3 on a match

Let's get two petitions going. One to fire Marty and one to keep him.
That way Spanos and AJ can both light up their cigars off of 1 match.
