Default Igor Olshansky Contract Question

Igor is done after this year, isn't he?

This quote almost cements it fro's article regarding Tucker and Gregory.

“Everyone is well aware of my philosophy by now,” Smith said. “We identify from within and reward our own. Today we were able to take care of two young players that we’re very excited about.”

If they were to sign Igor, it already would have been taken care of.

Does this mean Bingham is the next in line over there?

I think Bingham got an extension last year.

I dont think it spells the end for Igor, I just think that Igor and AJ are separated by a few million dollars and as we all know AJ doesnt budge.

It all depends on the dollar amount that Igor is looking for and Ed McGuire is willing to offer.

It would take approximately twice the amount that it took to extend both Gregory and Tucker combined to extend Igor.

They still have the cap space to make one more large dollar extension. Who it will be? I don't know.

They can always tender him and sign him in 2009/2010. Also there hasn't been an agreement yet on the cap, it will go up next year, however we might have some more room to work with in the future.

I hope Igor gets signed, we really don't have anyone to replace him in run support and with Williams not having many more years losing both in the next couple of years will really hurt our running game.

I knew instantly that once I hit him, the ball had come out and all I remember is hearing Kassim say, 'I got it, I got it.' ''
