Default Braylon Edwards to the Jets

Does this mean the Browns are dealing for some young guys and draft picks???? AJ get on the phone, there is a beast over there by the name Shaun Rodgers that would make and IMMEDIATE impact on our football team!

i guess that massaquoi guy had a good enough game to let edwards go. They are gonna have a bunch of draft picks next year. Most of which are from the Jets after this and the sanchez trade.

Yep and received at least one (if not more?) in this deal.. They are clearly throwin' in the towel and looking and this big draft in '10. Not a bad idea when your 0-4 and it doesn't look like your in any position to put up a W anytime soon.

As already suggested here, the browns are looking to get a load of draft picks for next year, if we can get shaun rogers go for a first and a player (chambers?) it would really be worth it

Scary though, at the rate we are going our first may be Preeeetttty high. I'd say a 2nd and CC or something like that.. He's 30 but still has extremely fresh legs and would be an absolute spark for our D... We can only hope and pray

Ya I don't think Shaun is worth a 1st at this point. We could do a second and player, maybe like Tucker since we have depth at OLB.

The terms of the trade are reported to be as follows:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4538498

Quote:
In the deal, first reported by ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Jets sent key special teams player Jason Trusnik, wide receiver Chansi Stuckey and a pair of draft picks to Cleveland.
The draft picks are supposedly a 3rd and a 5th. The Browns are no longer on the hook for three-quarters of BE's $4.55M base salary, and are taking on two players who are playing at roughly veteran minimum. This saves the Browns some cap space should they also want to deal Shaun Rogers before the trade deadline. And since they seem to like trading for scrubs who need jobs, I can think of a few we could pawn off to the Browns

A third and a player. Hart, Osgood, Chambers, Tucker for Shaun Rogers
