Default So about all the FAs that Denver picked up...

We go through this every year since Rivers was the starting QB, and every offseason we see Denver try to improve and win the division with their big FA acquisitions. But today you can see why we never go after them.

I mean I wish we picked up Dawkins. I truly do, but you can see now why you don't give 9 million upfront to a 38 year old safety. He still got a lot of energy but his body isn't going to withstand much more at his age. And unlike Castillo or Burnett (if you want to bring those two up), age isn't on his side. Likewise, Gregory and Ellison have more potential to help this team in the future and at a better value too.

It's the same deal with the New York Jets and their FA binge every offseason. Bart Scott was great on the Ravens, and a lot of us wanted him, but our young guys with Dobbins, Siler, and cheap pickup in Burnett, have outweighted him in terms of production and price value.

Now hopefully the money that we saved will be used to extend one more player before the 2009 cap begins.

Marcus: He takes care of us. He gave me a Best Buy card for Christmas that I couldn't eat and a picture I tried to barbeque but it didn't taste too good. He can't afford to feed us. He has like 9 kids. Seriously, he does take care of us all the time with little things.

You'd have to be an accountant to understand for sure if we really wanted Dawkins or not, he was making Denver look real strong early, I wish we had him but oh well hes on denver and denver sucks.

Too early. They are ONE GAME BEHIND.

But, it looks good -- REALLY GOOD.

Denver does have a way of pulling off games they shouldn't (just not lately, vs. the Bolts )

You can also make an argument that FA acquisitions are good if you look at the Pats.

Seriously, what is is about that -- we tend to struggle against good teams. DEN and PIT seem to do just fine, but then drop games to WAS and KC ??? Crazy crap.

Too bad you wont get many responses from those losers arm chair GMs and Coaches. All those FAs did for Denver is to have them implode earlier rather than later. Now they wake up old and beaten with all those outrageous contracts they have to deal with the next several years.

The only worthwhile pick up they made was Andra Davis.

Every one else, except possibly one or two people, was junk.
