RIP George Pernicano. Charger owner, Godfather to us all. Love you George. Condolences to his large loving family

I was fortunate enough to have met Mr Pernicano a long while back and enjoyed a rather brief, but hilarious conversation with him.

I wish his family the best!

RIP Mr Pernicano

As far as I know, he was a good-humored minority shareholder in the team. RIP.

I met him a couple times back in 2004-2005 before there were a ton of Season Ticket Holders and they used to hold private season ticket holder events for us. Seemed like a good guy.

R.I.P.

RIP to Mr. Pernicano and condolences to his family.

I found a classic pic of him from his younger days with Joe Nameth at San Diego Stadium

Link for some background info .... apparently Mr. Pernicano had that handlebar mustache that Joe Nameth appears to be admiring insured for $50,000 with Lloyd’s of London according to the link. :) .... quite a life story he has, he'll be missed.

Having had the honor of spending an evening with him, along with Shammy and FTW, can say he was indeed a very good person. RIP George :logo

Yep. I think so. Opened around 1960 I think.

I remember one year when I went to Pernicano's around Christmas time, and he surprised all of the kids there by coming in dressed as Santa Claus. He was a great man.
