Hey,I live in Federal Way,grew up in Santee,CA,major Bolt fan, fromJ.Hadl,to Fouts,to LT,and ALL the misery in between.I do not like the way this Message board is set up,but maybe I just have to get used to it.The Padres, and Mariners Boards are easy to work, and post on.
Anyhow,2years ago the Charger games were on up here a lot,and now...Iguess I'm lucky in that I can .COM it,huh?

My family are new Chargers fans since my nephew was drafted last year as a punter--Mike Scifres. Mike is a great kid with an intense love of the game and an unbeatable work ethic. We listen to every game on Charger radio and watch the helmets move up and down the field. They have our support 100%.

Prepare the enemy's turf as the Bolt Invasion will commence next year when the Bolts play in Seattle...I'll be bringing about 5 to meet up with another 5 in Bellingham and Bremerton. It will be fun, in light of all the "S.Alexander > LT crap" from shehawk fans, we should ALL wear #21 jerseys...

New Fella here!

Sweeeeeeet - great to hear there are other boltfans in the Seattle Area. There was a small group of us (7 or so) that met last year regularly at the "Sidelines" sports bar in bellevue WA. Pretty cool joint - except for the fact that the Pitt fan base have called that place home. Was pretty brutal during last years monday night game but i was in there surrounded by black jerseys. Hostile! but fun. (Pitt fans are like Raider fans.. ALMOST)

Definitely going to watch the boys! All the hawk games I went to last year... I dawned the powder blue Winslow jersey and yes... I got heckled, teased, peanutted (the whole 9) but all i had to do was point to their rafters and and say... you only have 1 guy in Canton, your ring of honor blows, and you havent been to the big dance yet. (Guess i'm gong to have to change up my strategy this year!) Guess there is still some AFC west hatred left in 'em... lol.

Here's to a kick ass year - I'm going over to Fox Grill in a sec to watch the bolts first team roll over Chicago.

Chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarge!!!

(BTW - on my desk at work - i have a throwback helmet - 1 side auto'd by Fouts.. other side auto'd by Winslow... I hear Air C. himself lives across the sound... I know he doesnt sign autographs but damn.. would be cool.)

Hey. San Diego native, recent transplant to the Seattle. Glad to see some fans up here. I need people to watch games with. What bars have the most bolt fans and are the best to check them out at? My girlfriend isn't too into football and my roomates aren't too hot on the idea of getting NFL ticket in the house. Thank god they played the Bengals game yesterday.

I became a Charger fan watching the games on NBC in Oregon when I was a kid back in late 80's and early 90's. (I thought the uniforms where cool). 1 superbowl appearance, a 1-15 season, and lots of learning about football (I still think the uniforms are the best) and still a die hard fan. This could very well be the year that the Bolts get back to the big show. They look very balanced, secondary is my biggest concern along with Rivers still lacking the experience, you would never tell though. Regardless I will always be a Charger fan. I'm moved to Seattle 2 years ago and it makes me love the Chargers even more. I will be in Qwest Field wearing my Power Blues on the 24th of December. All I want for Xmas is a Charger ass kicking of the Seahawks and a trip to Miami. Go Chargers!!

It's great to see so many more Charger fans here in the Seattle area. I think we need to gather at some establishment and take it over to watch the Bolt's play.Of course this week with the hated Raiders going to the Q, there can be no let up. MUST DESTROY!!! I do miss the days when the Sea-chickens were in the AFC West. That guaranteed at least one visit per year. Now they play every preseason and won't be back this way for a few more years. And the one year they come to town, I'm headed to SD for Christmas. Oh well, at least I'll be around many more fans for the game. GO CHARGERS! :Helmet: :Helmet:

I found this on some Seattle forum.

There are several establishments within walking distance.
Pyramid is to the southwest, across from Safeco Field, def. within walking distance and the only brew pup.
Other options:
Slugger's - a narrow old fashioned sports bar across from QF.
Elysian Fields - next to Slugger's, a new, upscale dining and drinking place. With good weather, they roll up the doors.
FX McRory's - north of QF. Very rowdy and crowded, THE tradition Seattle sports establishment.

It goes on to say that the best reccomendation is Pyramid. So I think that we should ALL meet at Pyramid, and take over the place!! Who's in?

Thanks to the horrible showing by the seahawks thursday, my season-ticket-holding friend offered me his! He was so disgusted in losing to the 49ers that he doesn't even want to see how the seasquawks are going to do against the Bolts... After going through a rough patch lately and not being able to visit my family in SD, this is exactly what I needed... Merry Christmas to me!!! Wish I'd have known about this thread during the season.

Moved up here about 1 1/2 years ago for work (that company over the lake).

Anyway, for next season, you'll probably find My girlfriend and I at the Sport Bar for all the non-televized games (we live literally next to the Needle on Wall). So you'll always have at least 2 people cheering with you should you catch the game at the Sport Bar.

Charger fan here in Issaquah. Was once a 15 year season ticket holder...

I can't bear to watch the 07 season alone... Anybody looking to hook up in Issaquah? I have the NFL Sunday ticket and need to join up with a couple of local Chargers fans.

I know you're out there! Issaquah is turning into a haven for SoCal transplants like me.

I too would like to know of the bar by the Space Needle. I just moved to Redmond after being born, raised and schooled in San Diego. There's no way I can install DirecTV and I'm not about to my miss any chargers games (haven't missed one in 12+ years) so I definitely need to find a place.

Hopefully there is a central location that all Charger fans in the greater Puget Sound area can meet up to watch the games. I live at the north end of Bothell, but am looking for a place to see the games. I'll start by throwing out a suggestion. What about The Pumphouse in Bellevue?

I am in Kirkland and would also like to find a place to watch Charger games. Nice to have other Chargers to root with and if there are enough of us showing interest in the same location they should have no problem putting the game on for us. Have been to places where they show Packers because a few cheese-heads show up but alas no Charger game as I was the only one asking. I second the Pumphouse as it seems like a fairly central location for those of us on the eastside. Am also open to other suggestions....

You mean the Dumphouse? (I used to live in Hellevue/Ballard/Edmonds) Horrible place to go.

Stay away from Floyds place by the Seattle Center too. HORRIBLE food even worse Football coverage.

The absolute best place in Seattle is Sport across the Street from the Space Needle (in the KOMO 4 complex).

http://www.sportrestaurant.com/

They have all of the major sports subscription packages. If you get a bunch of people together they will save you a spot. Great food, great beer selection and a KILLER mural dedicated to the History of Seattle sports (like when Seattle won the Stanley Cup). Just stay away from the Bar on Saturday's when the Ohio State Football nuts take over the bar.

I live in Kent, just got hooked up with DirectTV and the whole Sunday Ticket package, and it doesn't look like I am going to get the game... If I had HD it looks like I would, but for the regular broadcast, it says Not Available...may be subject to blackout??? Why the hell would it be blacked out up here, or am I just reading something wrong? Anyone else with Sunday Ticket in the Seattle area that could shed some light on the subject??

Thanks man, I hope you're right. There could be nothing worse than gearing up and sitting down for the game only to find a blank screen.

Do games ever get blacked out for reasons other than a home team not selling out on time? Just curious. You know this is buggin' me if I'm up at 5:30am on a Sunday that the Chargers aren't playin'! LOL

It would be blacked out in the home market, but, A: Every Charger game this year is sold out, and, B: If you have Sunday Ticket and live in WA, or any other state, you'll get the game regardless.

I've had Sunday Ticket for 3 years now and I wouldn't go back to cable even if they paid me. I upgraded this year to SuperFan to get the HD games. This will be the first year I can watch in HD, and if the pre season has been any indication, the Bolts are gonna look sweet on my 61" Samsung HD this year!!!

I really want to switch to HD. I just got a 42" LCD 1080i, etc and can't wait to upgrade, but I just can'y pony-up the initial $300 right now for the HD DVR after going on a jersey buying frenzy.

So if you have more than one TV hooked up to DirectTV in your house, do both have to be upgraded to HD receivers even though the other TV is not HD compatible? Every time I call DirectTV, the people I end up speaking to seem to know very little when it comes to technical issues, so I don't feel like I'm always getting a straight answer.

Anyway, thanks for your help, and bring on the Bears!!!

No way. I have 4 tv's all hooked up with DirectTV and only ther main one is HD. I couldn't afford the HD DVR either so I just spent the $99 on the basic HD receiver. I will upgrade to the HD DVR when I buy my next HD tv. I like Mitsubishi's new 65" hd tv alot, although Samsungs new HLT series DLP is pretty slick too. Oh well, it'll be a while before I upgrade anyway. Oh yeah, about DirecTV's people, you hit the nail on the head brother. It's a real crapshoot when you call them. Get this: When I first got my HD tv, I was very naive about how HD worked. It was two days before the superbowl, and I could not get CBS in HD. (Later learned this was because it was not available in my area at that time.) Called DTV, and, I'm not kidding, the guy told me I couldn't get HD because of where the moon was in the sky. I kid you not, that's exactly what I was told. Still wouldn't leave em though, all because of my Sunday Ticket. Can't wait for the 9th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What better place to watch the bolts roll on the PATS than on a ginormous big screen? My ass will be planted there for the Sunday Night game. It's lounge seating - and as you know... there's a TON of Bostonians here in the city.

I'll be there. Look for the only fella wearing a Charger Jersey. (Throwback #80 Winslow jersey ... faded and beat up. Unless I can find one of the new jerseys out here)

Hi there,

New poster here - Chargers fan living in Ballard. So is SPORT the rallying place for the in-city fans to watch the game this Sunday night? Just found this board. Long time Charger fan. I used to have the Sunday Ticket but can't receive the signal since I moved. I go to a place in downtown Edmonds. There are three bars down there. Johnny's sports bar is new and it is next to the ferry dock. It is just o.k.. The other place is Taki Tiki up the street. It is never crowded and there are 10 flat screen t.v.s. to watch the games. Last year there were a few times where I was literally the only one or maybe 2-3 people.. It is new and very clean.

Taki Taki will definitely show whatever you want. I felt like I owned the place last year. At the other place I just asked the guy to change one of tv's and he made it happen. More of a sports atmosphere at Johnny's but all I care about is watching the Chargers when they are playing.

Alright KIDS...

**SAVE THE DATE**

Monday 8/25 at 4:30 (game starts at 5:00!)

I'm thinking of finding a place for us downtowners (and folk in surrounding areas to drive out to!! ) For us to all huddle together, show some BOLT pride, toast some beers and watch as our First Team Offense and Defense trounce the the SeaHaaaaags. The Fair Weather HAWWWWwwwk fans are LOUD and thought it would be fun to all sit in a same area - decked out in power blues - dark blues - throwbacks - what ever you want to wear ... (just not that ugly-ass sea green... hawk fan wears)

Toss me a PM or respond to this thread. I have several Sports Bars in mind that can accomodate. If response is high - I might be able to even finaggle a private area!

You'll be happy to know - amongst the annoying "SEA-HaaaaAAWKS" cheers at the end of the game... while strolling the long echoing walk down the ramp and tunnels from nose-bleed seats... I yelled the good ol' "Chaaaaaaaaaaar-geeeEEEEeeeeers" call during silent pauses from the awful sea hag cheer. Which immediately prompted the massive crowd to yell "SUCKS!" LOL.

Aside from myself, there were a few Chargers fans over at the Spitfire in Belltown on Week 1. Wasnt' there last week so I couldn't tell you, I assumed they wouldn't be showing it since the local CBS affiliate decided to play INFOMERCIALS and a Strawberry Shortcake cartoon instead of FOOTBALL.

Anyhow, if you're near downtown, let's meet up at Spitfire in Belltown to see the Bolts beat up on the New York Favres!

These last 2 games have been rough... but I've been here and seen a handful of loyal chargers fans at the Sport Restaurant in Downtown (Right by the Space Needle). I'm planning to come here more often.

Its pretty nice here, they have nfl ticket. They have a ton of HD screens and a mega screen prolly 100+". They also have small monitors for booth seats to watch whatever game you want. I can't comment of the food, but i heard its good. Prolly the only thing is that it can get crowded, but most of the seating is community seating, so just find where they are playing your game and take a seat. Also I've found plenty of street parking on 3rd st.

Before I moved from Seattle to San Diego, that was the BEST place in town for any sports, especially NHL (which is hard to find in Seattle). Good food. Great location.

Decided to skip the smoke and haze at the QCC Casino in Tulalip. Went with my non-football loving bf and our best friend J to Boston's Pizza & Sports Bar up in Smokey Point. Nice place. Saw another Chargers fan wearing a PR jersey :17:. Lots of LT fantasy owners! My stomach was rolling during the 4th Q. Nice being around other fans and high fiving everyone!! :LightsOut:

I just moved back to SD after 4 years up in Seattle. Spitfire in Belltown has great food and has a good mix of fans. You'll always find a few Charger fans there.

However, I've found that the best place by far to watch Charger games is at Sport Bar (right across the street from Seattle Center). There are always a TON of Charger fans there. They're usually the majority there apart from the Seahawks. If you work for Microsoft, it's an especially good deal w/the Prime Card.

Lyman to be exact and cinched up with Directv when I came back up here from a business endeavor in SD. Would love to live there but sooo expensive.
Anyway been AFC West since I was 8 or 9, which is a long time ago. Always hated Denver and used to really enjoy the KC / Oakland games and SD / Oakland games. Times have changed. Don't think Oakland will ever be back until Al gives it up and KC given another year or two will be a contender.
Suprised with the Denver game tonight actually thought the Browns could pull that one off.
Would like to see Sproles involved more and give Igor a contract so he'll start to play like last year.
What are the thoughts on cinching up Merriman, I don't see any college players or current Charger players that can do what he does.

So I know there is a good fan base up here. I see the stickers on the cars driving through town. I think we need to designate a place pretty neutral for people to show up and hang out for the games! Most places will designate a section of the bar/restuarant for us if we have enough people.

Steeler fans have places all over the country, I dont know why we cant have the same thing..... Lets here what you all think! I live in Lakewood/ Tacoma area but am willing to drive a little to meet up with people......

If we dont figure something out between now and the game on Sunday I'll be at the Ram in Lakewood with the other Bolt fans. :logo

I was in Denver for the game against "Pitts"burgh and through this Fan Forum was able to meet up with about 20 Hardcore Boltz fans. It was great to be among friends. They posted some pictures in the "Any (I know it sucks) Bolts fans live in Colorado?" thread. They really know how to take over a place and could be an example to all us displaced fans. We need to follow their example and really try to make some place our own. If it's Sport, then great, but let's really make something happen this next season!

I booked my flight last week. Now looking for good deals for hotels. In 2007 for the Seattle/Chargers preseason game I stayed at the Marriott and walked over to the trolly to get to the game. The only way to go!

Comcast is in jeopardy of losing the NFL Network channel so I'm in a panic over that. If they lose it I'll have to switch cable companies!

This is great news for us fans who have Comcast. I'm sorta addicted to NFL Total Access. I've gotta see someone about that!

Are you fans rooting for our local boy Keith Grennan? He was born and raised in Edmonds Washington and attended CWU then transf to EWU.

He has really beat all odds getting to the NFL especially if you knew his story.

Born in San Diego been a charger fan ever since. Had DIRECTV Sunday Ticket for 12 years. Season ticket holder for last 2 ( i fly down for the games) Just want our boys to bring a championship to our beloved city we call "home" The new stadium just needs to be built so there is no talk of moving them to LA. Raider fans don't want us there anyway. When is Spanos going to step up to the plate? The taxpayers gladly paid for Qwest field! Its the cost of living in the locale!
