This is the Insiders short list of the best prospects in this draft. It's not a mock, it's just how they rate them as prospects. It'll be interesting to see how many teams draft by position and pass on these guys and see if we get any of the top rated prospects.

RB 1 Cedric Benson Texas
CB 2 Antrel Rolle Miami (Fl)
WR 3 Braylon Edwards Michigan
QB 4 Aaron Rodgers California
RB 5 Ronnie Brown Auburn
OLB 6 Derrick Johnson Texas
WR 7 Mike Williams USC
RB 8 Carnell Williams Auburn
DE 9 David Pollack Georgia
QB 10 Alex Smith Utah
DE 11 Marcus Spears LSU
WR 12 Mark Clayton Oklahoma
OT 13 Alex Barron Florida State
DE 14 Erasmus James Wisconsin
CB 15 Justin Miller Clemson

The ones in bold are the only ones from that list that I think the Bolts might pick at #12 (disregarding whether that player will be there, or whether I want the Chargers to pick that guy.)

Roo,

Those are great lists. It will be interesting to put them side by side to the post Combine/Pro Day lists.

It will also be interesting to look at the actual draft order, and who rises and who falls.

Davis is a difficult one to figure out. At 6'1/230 he's bit small for a LB and at 4.55 in the forty he's a bit slow for a Safety in todays NFL. I think his best spot may be at S Safety but we have Kiel and don't need another S Safety. I don't think he's going to be drafted real high - maybe at about number 25 or so. Maybe he'll do well at the Combine but he better either get faster or bigger. Being moved back and forth from Safety to LB hasn't helped him become as good as he can be either.

The fact that all you guys are praising Kiel at SS is a tribute to Kiel's ability. The guy got moved to that position because Kwamie busted up his knee in 03. He got stuck in SS again in 04 because the alternative was Wilson. Move Kiel back to FS. Now that we've cleared that up, we still don't need Davis. Even if he were to drop down to # 12, he just isn't a good fit in our defense where the SS has increased run coverage along with pass coverage duties. Shazor is 6'4", 230 and growing. He also has 4.45 speed, SS is his natural positon, is the top rated SS coming out this year(Davis is rated as a FS) and we can probably get him at 28.
