Shamrock,
Which horse do you think is getting beat worse?

I think the first horse shows far superior technique in receiving his beating. Just look at his hips and his stance. He's obviously taking on the defenders right at the line of scrimmage.

The second horse is getting owned by that guy in the yellow. He's got zero bat instincts and you can tell from the still photo that he's timed his jump poorly.

number 1 is easily jammer so many people are fed up with the guy and his underachieving ways. it has to be stressfull to him...being a 5th overall pick and not even one of the top 10 corners in the nfl.

number 2 is sammy davis...he should really be number 1. but hes number 2...so many people talk trash about him...but he wasn't a 5th selection so its not expected for him to be one of the best.

No way man,

Look, #1 needs help behind him to get the job done

While #2 is not only beating the horse worse, but he is making it more exciting!

I think horse number one needs to put on some more weight. He's a bit slim between the shoulders.

I agree-#1 is feeling it, and #2 is just lying there.

#1 is like the BAM Madden BOOM game Turdunken. He bleeds.

But, it's obvious that #2 is a Shut Down Horse, as he doesn't even flinch. I'm mean, he's REALLY shut down.

But, #1 has over the top help from the Cover 3 Smileys.

Tough choice .......

But where's the pass rush help?

If you have a strong pass rush, Smilie #2 doesn't need as much over the top help as Smilie #1 does.

do you guys think that horse #2 would stand a better chance with someone other than Jerry Wilson at FS? It's obvious that he has no confidence in his deep help. That's why he keeps giving 10 yd cushions and getting beat like a dead horse...

Sorry, that dead horse crack was tasteless.

Horse #1 clearly is well covered, while #2 looks as if there was illegal contact on the play, he is on the ground and the smilie is still whacking him. 15 yards and an automatic first down.

This is the best DB post in recent memory.( last 5 min in my case) Clearly illustrates the situation. I like #2- persistent hard working smiley more likely to set up a blitz.

HEY! I heard Mr. Ed just got released by his current team! We should sign him immediately and give him a gazillion buck contract!

Once again, MiM, even while on IR, has solidly evaluated the situation and given a spot on analysis of both scenarios.

BTW--Is this regular season smiley action or is this training camp?

NEWS FLASH!!!!

Eszn.com has just reported that Mr. Ed has hired a new agent to represent his interests in any potential NFL negotiations with interested parties and reportedly will hold Mr. Ed out of any preseason activities until a contract that protects Mr. Ed from the glue factory or being shot in the event of career ending injuries.

But getting released from the glue factory surely shows he has nothing left in his tank, unless of course he wants to play for twinkies

I bet Ed Maguire could get him for a sack of oats and a couple carrots!

Dang! Just saw on the animal planet that Mr Ed died a while back.

I guess our primary backup would be Flicka? I hear we can get him for a 5th of Woodford Reserve but we habve to let him graze on the practice field.

Rugsy, what is the cap situation for this type of manure,,,,I mean manuveur?

Go Bolts!!!

If only Merriman would schedule another interview and than cancel it at the last minute, we could go back to that discussion :)

BTW, horse number two is definitely getting the worse of it.

Clearly the UMP is not in position to call that a strike, which it clearly is.....LOL:D

Also, should Mr. Ed use a pinch runner? He has an unfair advantage with 4 legs. :p

Also, should Mr. Ed use a pinch runner? He has an unfair advantage with 4 legs. :p

We have been instructed to "Call him from behind the Pitchers Mound" On any dribbler hit to the Infield, we follow the runner down to first base, as we are looking for any "running lane violations, and a pulled foot at first"

If you pitch him inside, he is liable to lay a "Present" down, and when you come around the batters box to follow him, you might step in it

He is great with going from 1st to 3rd on them balls hit to the outfield, but he cannot slide, you better have a cannon if you want to get him at 3rd.

Advance scouts say

"Pitch him up and in, he cant turn on the pitch up in the zone"

OH..........

Do not hit him, if he charges the mound, do not get behind him, he has a killer right "HOOF"

Maybe we should change the meaning of DB from Defensive Backs to Drew Brees.

We've already beat the issue to death, and I'm sure more is to come.

Does it matter? Are they not both applicable?

I just noticed the original posting date on this thread... wow we've been floggin' this poor dead horse along with some others for quite some time now.

I picked #1...with the 3 smilies gang floggin', it better represents us fans collectively knowing what has to happen in our backfield better than what our coaches and front office does.

The 2nd one is my favorite...

He knows that horse is dead, but the expression on his face tells me he wont be done beating it for quite some time,

That is what offseason is all about...for better or worse (hint usually "worse" :) )
