Chris Hope's desire to cash in on his Super Bowl year cost him his job in Pittsburgh, but it allowed him to get a contract with the Titans.

Hope reached an agreement in principle Wednesday with the Titans. Terms of the deal weren't available. He had been asking for a contract in the $4 million-a-year range.

Looks like we lost another of our (the forums) desired FAs to the Titans.

Yeah, and we play both of them here this season, as well as the Cardinals who have also improved on paper. Certainly not easy games anymore that's for sure.

titans purge their roster 2 years in a row and go back to their overspending ways i cant say i disagree with it a yard short of a superbowl win

Although they wont be creampuffs, it usually takes teams with so many free agents some time to really gel. Maybe we can get them out of the way early on this year, so they dont gel on us and make it tougher. We should still beat them regardless though.

I love how others make moves to get better and we sit on our hands 2 years in a row. I know we don't have as much improving to do as those teams so they needed to do more but until we win a superbowl we aren't a team that should just sit and watch, we need to be a bit more active than we have been in free agency.

I was one of the people that didn't want Hope. I thought he was overrated.

4 Ints in 4 seasons.

Hope was indeed overrated in the action i saw him in, the Superbowl "shove" was against him.

and McCree had 5 last year.

Given our INT difficulties, we should be embracing McCree and glad we passed on Hope, after all he did pick off you know who TWICE in the playoffs.

why should we go and pay excess amounts of money on people in the free agency that are OLD when we can get our money's worth in the draft. Like someone said earliar. Merriman and Castillo and where are those people that said that Castillo wasnt going to amount to anything..i dont see them posting that anymore. you have to have faith in the Scouts that's what they get paid for. OL is what we need we can easily upgrade OL with the 9 picks we have in this draft you guys act like we are needing a whole new team.
