Padres are apparently trying to remove all the fan favorites from the team. Not one of my favorites, but a lot of people love Khalil.

This is starting to become ridiculis. Peavy is halfway out the door and now there pushing Greene out too?! If they are getting rid of him, get someone good for once.

Sucks... Greene will end up leading the national league short stops in HR's at another team. The guy is good (see rookie season and see the San Diego hitting coach revolving door factor applied equaling a lack of production.)

Oh well. Looks like my 20 - 25 tickets each year will soon drop to 15 - 20. Now all they have to do is get rid of Young and you will have the perfect off season.

My favorite joke:

"Jet Magazine cancels interview with Khalil Green after finding out he's white". ;)

In the field he was fun to watch and he could run into one from time to time but I don't understand him changing his stance all the time. Wish him lots of luck though. Time to "retire" my Greene t-shirt. Soon the Peavy one :(

It was painfull to watch this guy at the plate. Swings at the junk 5 feet off the plate every time. Good luck Greene but I am not going to shed a tear about it.

Good Luck Khalil. He was one of my favorites, it was hard for me to watch him suffer with injuries and sloppy hitting. He seemed like a good guy and I wish him the best. Hopefully the move will be good for him and the Pads. I still never got to get an autograph from him.:(

Greene already traded to the Cardinals for 2 prospects. 1 a right handed pitcher named Mark Worrell and a player to be named.

sucks greene got traded. greene did decline a 4 year 29 million dollar deal b4 last season, might meaning he didnt wanna be here that much longer. so the padres are smart that they got somethin for him. hope he flourishes with the cards just like most of the players after they leave SD (Derek Lee, Shane Victorino, Jason Bay, Josh Bartlett, Xavier Nady, even Matthews Jr for a while)

The pitcher we got from the Khalil Greene trade, Worrell, apparently blew out his shoulder and is expected to miss at least 12 months..... Towers just mentioned it on XX1090

Sounds like KG is tearing it up in Spring Training. Is this going to be the Ozzie Smith trade all over again?
