View Full Version : KC at Oak - I think KC can win this one.

I saw on NFLN that Janikowski has hammy problems and Oak has a brand new QB in Palmer that is fresh off the couch with new terminology and tons of pressure playing at home on such short notice.

The staff of Oak can play the "we can neither confirm nor deny that Palmer will go on Sunday" but we all know he's going to play.

That being said - we need KC to step up now. We've got the morning game and I'm hoping we come out with the win to turn around at 1:05 pm to watch the Raiturd nation go down in flames.

I am waaaaaaay too antsy after a bye week..:logo:Cheers:

Well given that Oakland's offense requires a highly polished QB (a simple game manager will not suffice) and that KC has shown true signs of greatness so far, I think KC should be heavily favored...

A division rival has the opportunity to beat anyone within the division on any given Sunday more than other teams imo.

I feel the Raiders can blow this one too, but I am not expecting it. KC could surprise us though.

I hope the Raiders win, I like them one game behind us. A little fire under the chargers (blanks)

Doubt it. Raiders if anything might blow them out and have the media all over them.

KC is playing better football as of late. They're not the crummy rusty team that started out the season in shambles.

Yes they are playing better, Just not as good as the Raiders are. I dont think there new QB is going to even be a top 10 QB. But better then anyone they have had for years. There run game with even a ok pass game well thats going to be something.

They didn't look bad this past week because they had a bye...

Other than that they managed two close wins over winless teams, since we played them. To me I see them being 9 points away from being winless themselves.

KC has been playing better and the turds are very vulnerable this week. I think Oak will win but KC has more than a punchers chance IMO.

I'd like KC better if it was at Arrowhead. Think McFadden and whoever they start at QB have just enough to hold off the chefs this week in a close one.

Raiders will try to run and pounded the ball in. Can KC's D handle such abuse?

Looks like a QB has been named for Sunday's game.

Boller to start for Raiders
Kyle Boller -- not Carson Palmer -- will start on Sunday when the Raiders take on the Chiefs, reports Steve Wyche.

Don't know what some are thinking about KC. Their two wins were against winless teams who had yet to win.

There appears to be some confusion here...

Boller is not and and has never been "our" qb... Rest assured though our confidence is unaffected.

Sorry where have that Raiders looked Dominant?

LT, old man, took it to their D against Jets. (which they won by 10, not 100)They Beat a Browns by "a" score, beat a Andre Johnson less Texans because Schaub is a moron and the beat Denver by 3.

Where is the dominance? I don't see it. KC can def win this.

Oak D is 28th in giving yards. Who is covering Bowe exactly?

I may be wrong, but i thought Palmer played under a similar system in Cincy with Hugh
IF thats the case, he will adjust quickly.

They are inevitably overhyped due to their current record, the fact that they swept us last year and they're in the division.

I to have been very unimpressed with their all around play so far, and get a good laugh when people hype up their D that is giving up ridiculous numbers to RB's.

The system is supposedly very similar, however folks seem to discount the struggles that Palmer has had the last few years he's played.

Throwing to an uncovered Whoyourmama on some HS field is vastly different than throwing into the small space that the NFL game allows with very fast and angry men trying to kill you and the WR.

IMO, it's going to be about 3-4 games before he's up to speed if his lack of mobility doesn't get him killed before that.

All true; however, i was hoping the return of the Silver and Black would bring true hatred back and force some change in the Charger organization. Doesn't look like that's going to happen this season. We will probably win the division with a stellar 8-8 record.

Congrats to the Chiefs. They came to play and they punched the Raiders in the mouth. I just didn't agree with starting Boller from the jump cause he sucks. Palmer coming in to the game when we were down 21 to 0 and the Chiefs knew we had to pass and Palmer was only working with two pages of the playbook is a joke but its whatever we got beat up. Good thing the Chargers lost as well.
