Management doesn't have a good image.

We don't know the reason yet, but will be interesting to see how this plays out. He was with the team almost 40 years. I think he left SD to relocate to LA for the move?

He gets canned just a month after uprooting his entire family. I guess 38 years of service isn't worth much.

He must have been doing something awfully shady to warrant the termination. Either that or Spanos is just making another Spanos type blunder.

Hopefully it was the former and not Just Spanos being Spanos. I can't imagine a couple backward bolts on helmets could warrant termination after 38 years of employment.

What horrible thing could he have possibly done to deserve this?
Suggest his brother be hired-on as offensive equipment coordinator?

Just add it onto the ever growing list of why more and more people around the league think the Chargers are a joke....they are starting to make the Browns look good.....ooops
the Browns beat the Chargers last year so they already did that

Shameful

In the old days (before everyone was employed by the government and couldn't be fired), 38 years with the same employer would have been a huge Plus for both the employee and the employer.

They were obviously committed to him when they left San Diego, since they accepted his moving expenses along with the other employees. It doesn't make sense they would them let him go. Something's going on that hasn't gotten out yet.

Hopefully for Spanos, this fired equipment manager doesn't have a son named John.
