2019 mock draft
DT heaven...
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/...-quarterbacks/ “One thing to note is that there is some monster defensive line talent that could be available next year, including four players from Clemson alone. If the teams that drafted new franchise QBs this year struggle to win games in 2018, they should be well-positioned to land a blue-chip defender next year.“ |
Hopefully we'll be looking at QB more seriously...
|
who is RJ White ?? (barely followed cbssports after the departure of Rang/Brugler)
"Greedy" Williams to the Raiders.... perfect. and don't see his name but will guess at this juncture that we are going tackle (albeit not sure if Andre Dillard is the guy) and that Isaiah Prince (Ohio State) is the most likely selection for us.... (there is also a Prince Teno Wanagho from Auburn.... wow). personally am all about Bryce Love for us, and.... guessin' he's unlikely/a longshot for now. |
1st round qb- lock, stidham, patterson, thorsen, finley, herbert
2nd rd qb - fizgerald, Bryant, grier, eason, bentley |
coupla few other guys that I think will be in play include DT Christian Wilkins (Clemson) and prolly going back to the Notre Dame well @TE w/a good look see w/Alize Mack there.
far as QB goes, am a Jarrett Stidham fan, albeit guessing he goes before we have a real shot @him, and guessing again that if we do go QB 'twill be a late round developmental pick or another UDFA ?? |
No way we are picking 20th next year. If we are then I am going to be p*****. Looking at 28th or lower.
|
Personally offended even looking at that mock! Dallas, GB, and Houston finishing better than us? Doubtful. That said. Huge year for DT, Clemson's D line should be fun to watch. Can we hold off on QB until Tua Tagovailoa comes out!

Next year we need to get a QB and LT first two rounds. We'll probably swing the pendulum and go offense first four rounds. |
I think 2020 is when the Bolts will draft Rivers replacement & learn under him until he retires after the 2021 season.
|
If we address QB in the first three rounds, do we opt for Stidham or Grier?
Will either be available with the 32nd pick? Wasn't too impressed with the one or two games I saw Grier play when he was at FSU. Haven't seen Stidham play. EDIT: Here's a link to walterfootball's QB ranking for next year's draft: http://walterfootball.com/draft2019QB.php Depending on how things go this season, I could wait until round 3 to draft River's potential heir apparent. |
