The players do not blame Norv for their losing, they blame themselves. That right there is the only sign we need. Believe me when I tell you that had they thought it was Norv and he needed to go, they would have let him walk the plank.
My head is bagged, and I approve this message.

i like your post and agree mostly, except with the bold part. players aren't management. they don't have any clue about what personnel moves would give them the best chance to win; that isn't their job and shouldn't be at all what they're thinking about.

and, serving as devil's advocate, maybe the players rallied behind norv because he's not that demanding a coach and never throws his players under the bus. just saying, there are several factors for a team to want to stick with a coach with winning being just one of them.

i say these things since, under norv more than ever, i keep seeing mental lapses to outright stupid decision-making which, as relatively constant as i perceive it, has to be attributed to lack of discipline and ultimately lack of cohesion.

i just don't and never have seen norv as a strong leader. our recent trend would do more to substantiate that theory than refute it.

Couldn't disagree more. These guys have been coached since they were kids and they know a good coach when they see one.

It's unfortunate that good posts with good debates, are always merged into this thread, and then are buried into obscurity. I understand that pessimism and AJ/Norv bashing runs rampant on this message board, but that shouldn't mean that every thread that includes AJ or Norv in it, should be trashed. The "What happened to the Chargers" thread, barely made any mention of AJ/Norv, only a few members wrote about them. Instead most of the responses were about the Chargers lack of urgency in critical moments of the game. Somehow saying that the Chargers lack the clutch to preform in key moments of a game, is AJ/Norv bashing. Makes sense.

Why not eliminate all threads and only keep this one, because all new threads always end up here? Or even better, if you don't like a discussion then don't participate in it. Simple as that.

Great, now this mega-thread has to be merged into the feedback forum. You've really screwed everything up now.

Can we please make another thread to merge all those posts bashing the Dean AJ Norv thread can go?

The bashing of this thread has nothing to do with Dean AJ or Norv and needs to be a separate well discussed topic with its own poll.

For example

Option 1: I bashed the Dean? Aj? Norv Pos it it Here thread before it was cool.
Option 2: The Dean? Aj? Norv Post it Here thread is soft and cuddly, like Dean Aj and Norv.
