Has Hokie been mentioned yet? I'm not sure if thats his name - the Michigan Coach he was at San Diego State before Michigan. *I am no evaluator of head coach talent - just throwing it out there*

Also Chucky gruden is a popularity contest looks like to me not necessarily best candidate but maybe i;m wrong

Whats everyones thought on Jack Del Rio?

He has done a lot with the Broncos D, has head coaching experience. He did ok with the Jags with no QB and very little talent outside of MJD. It would also hurt the Broncos to lose him.

I like the idea of Ariens. I also like Shaw and Kelly.

It seems to me that young offensive minded coachs are the future.

I'm glad Norv will be gone. But this year is more on AJ. Time to stop replacing stars with guys AJ thinks are "football players". You need game changers.

Del Rio is an interesting choice...I will say this that playoff game against the steelers, i made a mental note because i thought he managed the clock really well (novel concept)

He's another one that I think does a good job of shaping offense around his players' strengths.
I have heard ATL fans complain a lot about Mularkey and that he is way to conservative.

Here's an idea.
Maybe the de-Chargers can start a new trend. Coach by committee. We can have a number of them on the team and we'll use who ever has the hot hand or is the best against a specific opponent. Carmichael for the NFC south, Gruden just for the Raiders, McCoy vs Denver.
That way they can please even more fans. Since everyone has their favorities.

We would need to have Cable on the list though. Just for those instances where one of the coaches interferes when it's not his turn. We'll use him to "knock" some sense into them.

The best Offense is a good Defense.

A stable of coaches and GM's...one for FA's, one for the draft, one to play nice with agents...etc.
