Hunter Henry has spent most of his time pass blocking because we have poor blocking OT's.

Ah yes... death by spelling, punctuation, and spacing...

On another note, check out next year's FA defensive tackles...

CB Iman Marshall USC. He's not flashy but he's always in position and gets his head around to look for the ball. Rarely gets beat by double moves or deep. Sound tackler.

SAM Davin Bellamy Georgia. Sets the edge well and can rush the passer. Chases down ball carriers from the back side.

FS Ronnie Harrison Alabama. There is no reason he can't be a FS. He hits hard so he earns the SS label. But he's very good in coverage too. Imagine that... a FS that tackles too.

ILB Azeem Victor Washington. Much more physical than his listed weight suggests. Asked to play mainly zone pass coverage. Another ILB I like is Rashaad Evans Alabama. But I think he is gone by the pick.

RB Rashaad Penny. For all you SD fans out there. He does everything... catch out of the backfield, run between the tackles, outside speed, return kicks... The deep RB class allows us to get a good one in the early 4th round.

My mock is predicated on a trade back to the #15 or #16 spot. This trade would probably net us an extra 2nd and 3rd round pick.

Positions of need: OT, SAM, DT, MIKE, FS, RB.

Let the Nuttiness begin!

1st (15): OT Connor Williams Texas. Great run blocker and pretty good feet to pass block and get to 2nd level. Torn meniscus will have to clear medically. Allows Charger to be flexible with the salary cap. Could cut Barksdale and save $3.8 million in 2018 or $5.3 million in 2019.

2nd (37): CB Iman Marshall USC. You can never have too many good CB's in this league. Verrett is hurt too often to count on and Mager hasn't developed. This would be a solid secondary with Hayward, Marshall, and King.

2nd (47): SAM Davin Bellamy Georgia. Plays physical and sets the edge nicely. Long arms help him shed pass blockers and is a very good pass rusher. He will help vs both run and pass.

3rd (69): FS Ronnie Harrison Alabama. Most experts have Harrison playing SS because of his physicality. But he is also very good in zone coverage. He'll put the hurt on you over the middle too. No more FS that can't tackle.

3rd (79): ILB Azeem Victor Washington. Needs to get bigger and stronger but he's great in coverage. Could be Perryman's sub during pass sub packages.

4th (101): RB Rashaad Penny SDSU. With a deep RB class, Penny falls all the way to the 4th round. Need another every down RB that can spell MG3.

So there have it. Drafting for depth and improving some of our greatest needs. Fire away! Give me feedback.
I really like Connor Williams too, but I would be surprised if he declared after his injury.
