The "name him" is now a Padre Thread
How about the signing of Eric Hosmer from the KC Royals? Great signing to add to the middle of the line up and spark the infield defense. They also signed Chase Headley who once played for the Padres 4 years ago.
Eric brings talent, leadership and World Series experience at the prime of his career. I may go to the ball park more often this season. Last edited by Totally Bolted; 02-02-2019 at 10:53 AM..

Eric is a veteran but only 28 years old. He's coming off his best season hitting.325 with 25 home runs and earning his 4th Gold Glove at 1st base. He will help guide future stars in Freddy Tatis Jr. once he's brought up along with other talented minor leaguers.
Padres may surprise...friends keep telling me the Padres are coming I've been saying when for several years now. Hosmer's signing tells me they are serious about contending now vs later.

Mmm I'd say you've earned only brownie points since it was against the Dodgers. Paycheck? Time clocked just clicked Hosmer. Lots of season to go before you bring up the question my friend.

My friend mentioned Manny was being wooed as well. Get some pitching and this team can contend for a pennant. Dodgers may have somethings to say about that.
