He played his sophmore year at 265 (and had more sacks). He played at DE with his hand on the ground all 3 years. His 6-5 frame could hold 275 lbs easily. NFL diet, NFL weight program. Way better pass rusher than Kyle Emmanuel.

with word from the SF Chronicle that Kyler Murray is gonna declare, and some peoples suggesting he could be No. 1 overall, and.... even tho' the Az HC said he would draft Murray @No. 1 if he could (back in October), apparently the Az brass are in no mood to move JR.... enter John Gruden.

would speculate as of now that the Raiders may trade all three first round selections for the right to make Kyler Murray the first pick in the 2019 NFL draft ??

Crazy...Raiders have a lot of holes to fill, and a golden opportunity to do so with all those picks...

Yea, it would be much better use of those picks to spread them around, get a strong core group now. Find your QB next year after losing to win again.

Looks like we are drafting 28th .. how can we move up to #1? Otherwise Arizona will draft Nick Bosa and Joey will go to Arizona as a free agent perhaps, we can have either both or none possibly.

No matter Joey will be a good trade piece whenever we need to move up to grab the next QB.

think our immediate needs moving forward are DT, FS, OTTO/SAM on defense, and OT, RB, TE, OC, and.... a punter.

DT * holding onto Mebane would be nothing more than a sentimental oversight, and many have mentioned the offseason before that retaining Liuget doesn't make financial sense.

we have Philon, Square and Justin Jones if so, which leaves a need @NT, far as I'm concerned, albeit wouldn't put it past the Chargers to draft a 3T here. personally w/Derrick Brown out of the draft, would prolly be waiting on a DT 'til day two, and perhaps add someone as an UDFA ??

FS * could be a round one selection.... stay tuned. there is also Earl Thomas and Eric Reid in FA ??

SAM * unfortunately still think Nwosu is a ? do we draft someone, or is there a FA to be had here ??

OT * pretty big/pressing need as Tevi has been uneven and Russell had some health concerns coming in. could be big talent in the draft and might have to spend a first rounder here, or is there talent to be had in the middle rounds ?? don't really see anyone in FA.

RB * there is always talent @RB in the draft, and is a position that is oft plug 'n play.... my guy is a huge injury concern, and am sure team Tommy John feels some loyalty/allegiance to MG3 here ??

TE * how effective and how soon is HH gonna be ready/able to contribute significantly ?? how much do we want to continue to put on VG's plate ?? is there someone in the draft that can somewhat fill Antonio's Shaq sized shoes ??

OC * does Wood stick w/Risner ?? someone that could start out @RT year one, then move inside to the OC when Pouncey falls off or can't go any longer ?? there is other talent here in the draft.

P * where does this guy come from ?? the draft or FA ?? ps. we are slotted/forecast to receive an additional seventh round supplemental pick as FA compensation.

You absolutely wait and see who falls to you at #28. Players fall every single year. See who falls, grab the best.

Derwin fell, so it shows just how smart many of the GM's are. Wait and see as we always have QB's take up spots in the top 10 and it pushes the teen picks down into the 20's.

Chargers visited w/these players @Shrine Bowl....

QB Easton Stick * struggled mightily, misfired/rarely on target
RB Darrin Hall
WR DaMarkus Lodge * quick feet, good route running/length
WR Jon Duhart * question as to how athletic he is, caught ball well
TE Daniel Helm
OT Ryan Pope

DT Daylon Mack * overwhelming burst/power
