Take into account that the Raiders have had a ton of top end draft picks and actually used them to draft the proper talent. Sometimes the guy thats there when you pick is the guy you take for a reason. You don't always have to reach and try to find that hidden gem that nobody knows about, ala AJ. The Raiders did that alot, and they're finally starting to draft the guys that are highly rated, and are rated highly for a reason. Sometimes the obvious pick is the right pick and they're drafted high for a reason.

Just a couple of examples:

Denver- Von Miller, #2 overall
Oakland- Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper, with Carr high in the second.

KC whiffed that last time they had that high of a pick, and I know there's tons of other examples where top picks have failed, or where there have been stars picked later in the first, or entire draft for that matter.

I guess I'm just saying that we've teetered on average with our mid first round picks, maybe we need to get some early round talent on board where we can get guys that'll come in here and make an immediate impact. The guys we talk about every year but are never high enough to get.

Good because they beat teams with records of:

2 - 6 Ravens, by 4
2 - 6 Browns (who the Chargers barely beat), by 7
2 - 6 Chargers, you know that story.
4 - 3 Jets (who have a winning record via wins against teams with losing records), by 14. Probably their most definitive win.

It's all relative my friend.

You do realize that you can actually make the PO by finishing in 2nd in your division right? You cannot make the PO by finishing 4th so no, they do not mean the same thing at all

Yes I do know that. However, until we know the Raiders dont faulter when they play good teams... AFC west 2nd place wont get a wild card.

Through the near years of Raider failings, Cutler in Denver, and less in Kansas the Chargers couldn't get it done. Now, the raiders are on the rise (Carr is the real deal) and this team is going into the faider follies of football (to include the relocation talks).
