You think O'Neill is going to drop to the 3rd? That would be a steal, along with Penny in the 4th that I've seen others mock.

Interesting Glutton, you think we need 2 OTs? I like the Folorunso pick at the end, would love to get him late.

Xenos, he had a great weigh in, nice height and length! I'm a little concerned about his core strength, he may get taken earlier as a project, but he is going to get abuse for a bit until he can spend time in the weight room.
But I do like him in general as a project.

Yes... Two OTs would be great as Okung is not getting any younger and OTs get banged up all the time. I am dead tired of the huge dropoffs between starters and backups. We need a starter from day 1 at RT and someone who can pick up the slack if and when the injury bug comes a nipping.

As far as the question from Xenos about O'neill dropping to us in the 3rd... well, as you all know the websites that track draft position ranks are all over the place. CBS Sports has him listed as 139th overall right now whereas draftek has him at 43rd! NFL.com has him at 44th... so perhaps the 3rd is asking too much?... But I didn't think Lamp would last to the 2nd round or Feeney would drop to the 3rd. So who knows? Lastly, the rankings should really start to stabilize after the Senior Bowl and especially after the combine. I will be more confident of my picks after these events have concluded.... but man o man... the OL would be looking rosy with Lamp coming back and the infusion of rookie talent :-)

Love the mock, but Tremaine Edmunds? Out of Smith, Edmunds, and Evans...I kinda feel like Evans fits us best...but I'm seeing Edmunds stock rise...definitely wanna hear more about him through the process.

Yeah... I was definitely considering Evans and Smith. Watching their highlight videos allowed me to narrow it down to Evans and Edmunds. Roquan does not appear to wrap up on his tackles like I would expect from a 1st round ILB. His highlight video was not very impressive:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtqI3BQMtl0

I really liked the video I saw of Evans... he looks a lot like Seau did when he shoots the gap. Closing explosively on the player in the backfield:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWryYBBAylE

In the end... I chose Edmunds for my 1st mock because he was both explosive:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYILvuqiBcs

and really appears to be larger than Evans and Smith. CBS lists them all pretty close... but on the video he just seems to be able to wade thru traffic better and his height will have to help him when defending the pass against big TEs. EDIT... Lastly, Edmunds had less help on D compared to Evans who had a ton of other studs helping him out.

Roquan Smith 6-1 225
Tremaine Edmunds 6-5 236
Rashaan Evans 6-3 234

Edmunds is going to be a very good starting LB in the NFL. I think his best fit is WILL. Which is kinda crazy. WILL LBs don't have his size and length.

1) OC Billy Price. I'm assuming that Williams and McGlinchey are gone by this pick. Price becomes the pivot we haven't had since Hardwick retired.

2) TE Mark Andrews. Another all around TE that can be a weapon and can run block. Replaces Gates. Redzone target and creates mismatches against LB's in passing situations.

3) RB Rashaad Penny. Depth at RB is a must. Tough runner, kick return talent, and good receiver out of the backfield. Gives MG a breather without tipping our hand offensively. Triple threat.

4) SAM Gavin Bellamy. Sets the edge and can bring pass rush that Emmanuel can't offer. Looked pretty good in pass coverage during the Championship game. Needed depth at the position.

5) OG Maea Teuhema. Deep class of guards pushes him down the boards. Very good run blocker and even played som tackle for LSU in 2016. Good feet. Value pick. Allows us to move Lamp out to RT. OL rebuild is done while up grading the whole right side of our OL.

6) MIKE Fred Warner. All around good player with coverage skills. Very active. Very versatile. Puts the San Diego back in Chargers. Needed depth. Deep LB class pushes him down the board.

7) DT Nathan Shepard. Stout against the run but can also shoot gaps and cause disruption behind the LOS. Had 2 great days of practice at Senior Bowl before breaking his hand.
Version 3... It's getting Nutty!

V.4 What was I thinking in V.3?

1. OT Connor Williams. Followed by Brown and McGlinchey. No more fooling around. I must have my 1st round OT.

2. SAM Malik Jefferson. Will he be there?

3. OC Frank Ragnow. Will HE be there?

4. RB Kalen Ballage. Big bruiser gives us 3 different kinds of RB.

5. DT Nathan Shepard. His stock is rising.

6. TE Dalton Shultz. Known for his blocking. Low reception numbers (and a stacked TE class) may allow him to fall this low. If he is gone, there are a few other TE's I like at this spot.

7. LB Medley. Fred Warner (MIKE) Keishawn Bierria (WILL) or Ebenezer Ogundeko (SAM) in that order of preference. Need LB depth.
