Would Dee Ford have been in the neutral zone woodeye if he was on New England? It was very slight & centers often move the ball forward before the snap. It happens a lot & generally is not called.

These things ALWAYS go New England's way. It was another 3rd & 10 btw. It's almost as if the refs were carrying New England forward on each big 3rd down play.

Chris Jones personal foul?
Rivers does not get any calls,

Rooting for NFC rep.

Two things have become transparent since yesterday.

1.) New Rams fans are popping up at work. (Some of these people don't watch football, but they are proud that the team that represents their city have it to the Super Bowl.)

2.) It really did take winning to bring about new bandwagon fans.

I don't ascribe to the notion that the "fight for LA" notion was a battle between the Rams and the Chargers; moreso, the fight to gain traction as one of L.A.'s new teams. The Chargers had an opportunity to seize the momentum, but it took a step back. Oh well ... it really is about building a relationship with your team, through thick and thin. Real fans will stick around, and bonds forged through hardships (not that we really had that tough this year) will cement allegiances.

A few things will happen if the Rams win the Super Bowl.

The Rams will have a sizable increase of new fans dedicated to their team ("L.A.'s team.").

You'll also have about half of those fans, or more, still root for both teams (ie., if the Chargers make it to the Super Bowl next year, and the Rams are out -- my mom is a classic example of "I'll root for any team from L.A.").

The Chargers could strengthen the bandwagoners they've gained this year, and who are hanging by a thread, by making it to the Super Bowl next year, themselves.

But I guess there's a lot that can happen between now and then.

Looking forward to the off-season, in the meantime -- the draft, free agency, full health (god willing), and new D-line and O-line.

Outside of about two people on here, three people on twitter, and most salty ex-fan, I have nothing against the Rams and hope they win. I would love for LA to get a Superbowl. Something needs to jumpstart people into LA football. Seems very few people, and a vast majority aren't Chargers fans, have latched like a leech onto the "Fight For LA" thing.

All season I've found myself hoping the Rams do well, along with the Bolts. Then I read something online that makes me say, "Nope. I hope they blow it so that person is unhappy." I have to remind myself that people on the internet can be anonymous and they represent a very small part of fandom, so I should just stick with my gut and root for the Rams since I've seen it as a good thing all season to have two teams doing well.

The Rams played in L.A. one year longer than the Bolts. I would say the Bolts are on a similar path in terms of years in L.A. 2017 Bolts (1st year in L.A.) 9-7 whereas the 2016 Rams were 4-12 (1st year in L.A.) 2018 Bolts 12-4 tied for 1st place (2nd year in L.A.) won on the road in Wild Card round in Baltimore lost in the Divisional round at New England the 2017 Rams were 11-5 in 1st place (2nd year in L.A.) lost in Wild Card round to Falcons in L.A. ... Rams 3rd year in L.A. SuperBowl ... Chargers 3rd year in L.A. ????

For all you SD county natives, wondering if this is true:

https://www.10news.com/news/a-histor...-a-new-stadium

Feel free to chime in, as I'm sure this tells more of the story for those who didn't know, but probably not all of it for those who've studied the situation inside-out.

Wow... when you put all the efforts down in a timeline it is almost head-scratching. No wonder they packed their bags. One giant black eye for San Diego. I love my home town to death... but the lack of vision is staggering. To think that there are still entire 3 hour sports radio stations dedicated to bashing the Chargers on a daily basis.

Scott Kaplan is dedicated to bashing the Chargers. Marty Caswell of the Darren Smith show bashes them, then prances up to StubHub each week and sucks up to the players.

Come on now, in the interest of fair and unbiased reporting, we need to similarly put together an organized, historical timeline of the city's positive efforts towards new stadium development

....

There that's better.
