Just how I see it, Jammer. Fact is, I've always thought Long would have made a dominant ORT too, and I don't think Lewan has Long's skills on the left side, and although Long isn't bad on the left side, he's no Joe Thomas or Anthony Munoz either, like a lot of people tried to make him out to be. I'm not saying he wouldn't be a good OLT, I'm just saying I think he'd be a perennial all star on the right side.

I want a nasty streak. We need 5 Dielmans to smash up the AFC North.

I'm actually not adverse at all to Lewan, depending on where we draft. We do have Gaither for OLT. Lewan would offer excellent insurance should he go down, and give us a bona fide ORT to replace Clary.

I am thinking OL with two of the picks.
why go Oline in the Draft all we need is a Left tackle
FA is deep in OL si i would go DT we still cant stop the run Jesse Williams will be there maybe even star at this rate

If Joeckel is gone and Star and Milliner are on the board that would be interesting.

Geno to KC
Jones to Jax
Joeckel to Philly

We must lose to Car and Oak as they are both ahead of us right now and I doubt the Eagles win another game. I think they would both take Star at 4 if they can.

My personal preference would be to take Star or Werner before Milliner, in that order. By "big 5" are Joeckel, Lotulelei, Werner, Milliner, and Moore. If we're selecting high enough to nab one of them, I will be happy.

If the question is between Star or Milliner, it's not really a question.

You choose Star.

Interesting enough, I like Lewan on the right a lot. If the plan was to draft a LT, put him in at RT, and have him be insurance for Gaither provided he gets hurt or we get rid of him in a year or two, I would be happy with it. I just like Fisher a lot better at LT.

And FWIW, Lewan is a LT, a good one at that. Just not a dominant one.

If, as you say, the majority of Lewan's issues are technique-related, then there's no reason he couldn't be a dominant player with the right coaching.
