Nfldotcom keeps churning out articles revolving around the unknown future of Earl Thomas in Seattle.
This is the win-now move we should be looking to trade for (Tyrell Williams?)
Even if we draft a FS, an elite, veteran FS who is beyond familiar with Gus can put us over the top
I wouldn’t be surprised if LAC and Seattle have agreements in place by draft day

Do you really believe adding Earl Thomas to the roster would "put us over the top" ?

The Bolts are more than a single player away.....much more.

I would trade Williams for Thomas...but not a high draft pick. But I doubt any deal is even being discussed...I think Thomas is in Seattle next year. Neat idea though...

What is Earl's current contract? That has to be a factor.

"Over the top" means what to you, praytell? Lock to win the Super Bowl?

We currently appear to be a playoff team and should improve somewhat in the draft but the roster never guarantees anything. Make a commitment to the HC's vision, give him & his coordinators the best talent & support possible, play one game at a time, see how it goes.

Hundreds of things happen in-season that impact the final result. Hopefully we'll experience insightful planning and good luck.
So far it looks like we'll be a strong competitor but it's way early.

"over the top" is clearly hyperbole on steroids.....while your "appear to be a playoff team" is hyperbole in a much more reserved articulation. Followed up by your normal back peddling "we'll be a strong competitor"......

TT is giving the team the best talent he can acquire, and hopefully AL and Staff can take that talent and win. The Bolts' moves so far look really good, and as such expectations are rising, but it is all on paper at this point (we have been here before, have we not). I have zero problem making a firm statement of belief, I do not need to use the word "appear", the Bolts will be a PO team this year.

As you say, plenty can happen, so one game at a time.

Good for you!
In my "reserved articulation" "normal back peddling" I believe the Bolts are a playoff team right now.
My insecurity stems from having seen a seemingly endless number of ways our team can fail to live up to their potential.
That said, we're due and I really like our chances.
