Default Danny Woodhead

Now we have Gordon, can we use Woodhead as a WR/TE2 the way pats used Welker/Edelman? He is a great pass catcher. Oliver can take over for him in the backfield.

Plan for next year

And since we have few healthy WR's... why don't we line both up in the backfield, put one in motion... Oh wait, that would involve creative game planning... never mind...

Woodhead isn't tall enough or have the ability to seperate from cornerbacks on a regular basis. He is best coming out of the backfield where he can get lost in the jumble at the line of scrimmage before coming out of the backfield.

yeah against DBs I dont think he'd do well. it's when he's up against LBers that he can abuse them.

It's what you want, a DB on Woodhead means LB on Gates. If you have Floyd, Johnson, Allen at WR.

Screen pass.
In Jacksonville game he was used many times as WR and got several first downs.

This is actually an interesting idea. I don't recall Norv doing it with LT/Sproles so maybe there's a reason.

I don't think he had to because of LoNeal.

let's see....cover LoNeal or cover LT outa the backfield???
ahh let the lumbering FB out on the opposite flat to catch the ball if he can...and if he does just run him down from the opposite side of the field, keeping in mind there's a pretty good chance his arms are too big and too short to even catch the ball.
