Default Derek Carr

Would you want him on the Chargers? If Rivers were to retire today.

Why or why not?

No.

He has the rancid stench of the Raiders all over him.

No.

If he struggles at times with the offensive line he has now, what happens when he gets an offensive line like what Rivers has had to deal with? Not a Carr fan at all.

Absolutely.

If Rivers were to retire, Carr would be an excellent successor. He's one of the best QB's in the game and has many productive years ahead of him. Reminds me a lot of a young Jim Kelly.

Absolutely. Carr is the leader of the next wave of QB's. He's already very good and should continue to get better. In a couple years he'll be labeled as one of the elite QB's in the game. We have our work cut out for the next decade.

When has he struggled? The kid is an absolute stud! The worst mistake the Texans have made in their franchise career is passing on Carr when they could have had him at the top of the second round.

If Rivers retired in 4 years and we could replace him with Carr, I'd be a very happy man.

Well said. I can't think of any other young QB's besides Carr that I would take to replace Rivers. Dak Prescott maybe. But he hasn't done it for long enough yet.

He does have the Raiders stench on him, that would automatically and unequivocally disqualify him from ever joining the Bolts as the franchise man. However, he is a pretty great young QB. They've been winning lots of games on the road and he's been making plays. He definitely has learned from his older bro who sucked in the league.
