Default #7 - Adams or Hooker?

Hey everyone, it's that time of the year again, when I try to know anything at all about prospects from 6000 Miles away.
Usually I don't succeed, so I come to you guys for help.

I've been reading a little and I think the best value we can get in a position of need would be either Adams or Hooker at pick number 7.

For me, out biggest needs are, in order, S, OLB and OT.
Lowery and Addae are OK, but we need a playmaker in the backend of our defende. We've seen what a impact a Smith/Thomas kind of player can have on a game.

Adams and Hooker are both being evaluated as top10 picks. Apparently Adams would fill more of a in the box safety and Hooker a ballhawk one.

For what I've read It seems that Hooker has a great range and pretty good hands and actually looks like the better player, but there are a few mocks where Adams goes to the Titans at #5.

Why is that? I read something about character concerns. Is It that big? Enough to bypass a Earl Thomas kind of player?

NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah: S Malik Hooker – Ohio State
What he says: “With the best ball skills of any safety I've ever evaluated, Hooker would benefit from the pass rush led by Joey Bosa. If Jason Verrett comes back healthy, this could quickly become one of the best secondaries in the NFL.

Pro Football Focus’ Steve Palazzolo: S Jamal Adams – LSU
What he says: “The Chargers have added valuable pieces to their defense and Adams brings another versatile weapon on the back end. Adams was a productive three-year contributor at LSU, capping his career with an 83.1 grade against the run and 89.0 coverage grade, showing he can make an impact all over the field. He can work downhill as a strong safety, playing all of the necessary coverages underneath while also showing enough ability to make plays in split-safety or single-high safety looks. (They) could take a long look at Ohio State’s Malik Hooker at this spot depending on the defensive coordinator situation.”

Walterfootball: It's going to be a tight race between Jamal Adams and Malik Hooker to see who the No. 1 safety prospect will be. I had Hooker here a couple of weeks ago, but it seems like Adams is a bit ahead of him right now. That could change soon, however

What do you guys think? Hooker? Adams? OT?

I'm all in for Fournette.

Trade MGIII for a boatload of picks.

@frozen.
Eye think Fournette is Cajun or Creole.
Also curious why you prefer Adams.
Hooker's range is generational, ala Deion Sanders.
Also, there are several big, combo safeties in the mid rounds.
Lots of mocks have TEN taking Adams (Top Tier player no doubt).
TBH I predict TEN takes Mike Williams or OJ Howard for Mariota.

In my eyes, Earl Thomas makes a bigger impact than Chancellor does. Hooker's ball skills and ability to cover the field are second to none. He's not even a finished product yet and is still neck and neck with a 3 year starter and one of the best safety prospects in years.

The amount of grass that dude covers is mental.

Also, agree on the Titans take. No real receiving weapon for Mariota really held that team back IMO. I feel with a few good moves that they're on the cusp of being a contender.

Good takes SYB.

I will take Malik's upside all day. That range allows us to do so much on defense. And I am double dipping on safety.

He even got me off my high horse on Oline. Will have to deal with that some other way.

Besides. TT.

A back end of Verrett, Hayward and Hooker would make it nearly impossible for opponents to throw on.
