Don't see the HOF numbers, longevity, and I don't like his attitude.
The comp for me is Jevon Kearse. Take that as you will... First overall talent, maybe, but, this draft has loads of guys that arent far off from that talent level. The media's portrayal that Myles is this God-like pass rusher is certainly hyperbolized. I like Thomas just as much.

It's going to go a lot better if we just all post "Freak is always right and now we kneel to his power."

Try it. You might like it.

These are my 4 in order of preference. I think Adams and Thomas are gone by pick 4. McCaffery may be gone by 6. Trading down is still my number one preference.
Interesting... no Allen and Hooker?

Are you sticking with Hooker, with the possibility of Thomas being available ? Explain sir.

Too many Question marks for Hooker in my opinion. Health is a great concern. Guy played what, 12 games, got hurt and needed surgery... Not a great Omen. Great player, not at 7 overall, for me.

I think I prefer the others I listed over Allen. Hes a tough prospect to evaluate. Surrounded by talent at Bama, stood out every now and then. Lots of "lazy" plays to be seen, poor measurables this offseason, I think I'd prefer the trade down still, even if hes there.

Yes. I have some concerns with Thomas just because I don't quite know if I get his position fit... I just don't know if he's going to be the next Aaron Donald or if he's going to be the next Robert Ayers.

Here is something interesting to consider though...
SF, Chi, Jax and Ten (in other words, picks 2-5) have all been heavily rumored to be interested in trading down. I may be reading between the lines too much, but I read this as teams not seeing a clear #2.

Someone else here recently summed it up perfectly, there a tier 1 guy who will be the #1 overall pick, then there is tier 2 which is more or less flat from 2-8 or so.

To answer your question on Hooker. I think he is a high risk, high upside player. Typically, picking in the top 10 means you suck and you need to get a "sure pick" but we have a good team and are only picking this high due to injuries. Hooker has been called the next Ed Reed by a number of people... if you think that is even close to right, you take him no questions asked.

To me it's pretty simple... if Hooker pans out and becomes Reed 2.0, or even Reed-lite, then we win a Super Bowl.. It's that simple. And if he doesn't pan out then we just continue not winning a Super Bowl, which is what we've done for 50 years.

I'll take that bet.

I think it's Garrett, Adams, Thomas, McCaffrey, Allen, Lattimore, Hooker. I'm just glad it's finally here!
