Players need to be able to play...
You do realize that injuries are inevitable in the NFL right? Guys like Manti Teo, Hunter Henry, and Forrest Lamp were extremely durable in college. As for us getting more than the average, we had one of the lowest last year after Lynn came in and changed the S&C staff. Injuries are also happening more in the NFL because of the 2011 CBA that cut down practice time with the team. I expect that to be amended in the next CBA.

They are. They've gotten their feet wet vs some elite talent too. LAC vs LAR should be a good contest.

I for one think the Chargers (barring anymore injuries) will only get better and better as the year goes on, I see a 13-3 team.

What do you guys think after seeing them from 2 games?

The first rule of winning is don't beat yourself. Dead ball penalties and negative yardage plays have been our downfall for nearly 10 years now. False starts, delay of game penalties, and runs for negative yardage. I watched Mike Vrabel's Tennesseee team play Houston the other day with Blaine Gabbert at QB. It wasn't pretty but they got it done. Not a single dead ball penalty and few if any negative plays.

The dead ball penalties have improved but this football team still has too many running plays that get stopped for negative yardage.

There are some who will say that the pass D dropped from 3rd to 13th but it seems less revealing. The performance of T. Hill and the vanilla defense against BUF in the 2nd half can explain that.

Could be misleading. In the 2nd game they played the Bills with a rookie starting his first game. Was easier to concentrate on defending the run that way and just try to limit big plays from the passing game.

I saw guys on our defense missing assignments left and right leaving guys wide open. We are lucky Allen is a rookie.

Some of this could be that players are still learning the playbook. What's more concerning though is Hayward looking confused at times. So far the defense has not impressed against the pass thus far IMO. Either way, this won't do against the Rams.
