Sounds like the NBA is lowering the salary cap.

Pundits predicted $103 million, NBA says $99 million.

It was $94mm last season so they aren't lowering it to $99mm unless math in Utah is different

That is the hot rumor about Iggy.
He wants a new challenge.
LAC/LAL are a possibility.
Warriors need youth and cap health.
I actually like what the Lakers did.
Never liked Russell-preferred Okafor. FWIW.

Yeah, me too. I saw Russell play once in college when I happened to be in town for an O State Michigan game. Michigan was lousy that year and Russell was unimpressive. Couldn't understand how he was going at 2.

Congrats to Kevin Durant on winning his first championship.

I'll eat crow for being a naysayer for leaving a contending Thunder's team. Lebron James did it before him along with Chauncey Billups, Shaq O'neal, Robert Horry and Moses Malone. They all signed on for big contracts as free agents each playing a big role in winning a championship for their respective teams.

Chris Paul and Blake Griffin have both opted out of their contracts with the Clippers.

Looks like it might be rebuild time again.

Stay or go they were going to opt out. The clippers can pay CP3 $205mm over 5 years. Would you do it if you're Ballmer?

I hope not. Keep Blake, but move on from CP3. I'm still p.o.ed about his playoff choke 3 years ago.
