Win the coin toss, defer to the second half, 3 and out for KC with a sack and a tackle for loss on a run play. They punt, JJ returns it to the KC 45. 3 plays later a 25 yard TD strike from Rivers to Allen to set the tone.... It goes down hill for KC after that, they never recover. ESPN starts spouting super bowl for the Chargers and we are off to another 14-2 season...

How about to fuel the anti-choke vibes, we actually come up with new ways that the Chargers could actually choke this game? I know, that's a difficult task given how many they invented and executed themselves...but they always manage to surprise with something you've never seen before (which is why we should prepare for EVERY situation)!

I'll go first. Chargers go up 14-7 at the half, things are looking good on both sides of the ball...Chiefs mount a comeback as Reid unleashes Mahomes in the 3rd/4th quarters to tie things up at 24-24...Rivers gets the ball with a couple minutes left and drives us down into FG range...only for Sturgis' attempt to get blocked and returned for 3 points and seal the Chiefs' win...

The Special Teams of the Chargers doesn't have to be great. Just not sucky.

Kareem Hunt please meet Derwin James...James hunt for Hunt. Our defense will have much more closing speed and gang tackling this year. The perimeter will be cut off limiting big plays for touchdowns. Hopefully the middle of our defense will be stout as well limiting yardage inside. Chiefs dominated last year on running inside. Lastly, it will be interesting to see how James is utilized throughout the game. Maybe James will be matched up with Kelce in passing situations to cover the athletic tight end. Bradley has some nice weapons to play with.

Glad Bosa is back to affect the game with his relentless pressure on Mahomes. He opens things up for Ingram to wreck plays and vice versa. A dominant defense will give Rivers and company more chances to score throughout the season. We don't need to score to win anymore with the talent we have on defense. They may help add onto the score like last year. This will be fun to watch.
