Luiget is signed until 2020.

If you want to save money (for Bosa contract in 2020) you could cut Luiget and save 9.5 million. You could also cut Russell Okung and save 11 million. Either way, you have to have replacements.

If I'm asked to upgrade either DT or OT... I'm upgrading the one that needs the most up grading... OT. Not to mention, OT's protect your most valued position on the team... the QB.

1st: OT
2nd: Center
3rd: LB
4th: BPA: RB, DT, CB
5th: BPA: RB, DT, CB
6th: BPA: RB, DT, CB

I want an OT that immediately replaces Barksdale. But a guy also with feet quick enough to take over for Okung in 2019 or 2020. I think Williams, McGlinchey, and Dillard have left tackle feet. You're saving $5.5 million cutting Barks in 2019 and $11 million cutting Okung in 2020.

I have my eye on 2 guys in particular... Billy Price and Frank Ragnow. Both can also play guard. They become immediate starters over Pulley.

Like Woodeye pointed out, we're short on LB's.

WILL: Phillips, Brown
MIKE: Perryman
SAM: Emmanuel

I'd love a guy that could fill both SAM and MIKE responsibilities. Upgrade Emmanuel and fill Perryman's spot if he should become injured again.

My dream draft would start
1) Conner Williams OT
2) Frank Ragnow OC/OG
3) Tremaine Edmunds LB

After that, I'm filling depth/development positions: RB, CB, DT
Good analysis, Nut. Agree with you that OT is an area of critical need. If a decent T is there in round 1, take him. If not, LB, DT or a safety to bring in on those dime packages Bradley likes so much. I don't think center is as critical an area of need as you may think. Apparently, the Bolts are pretty high on Pulley. Remember, Hardwick struggled early on, then settled down.

Eight deep at DB.

There are only 3.5 LBs in my book on the roster.

--Emanuel.
--Adrian.

I continue to scrutinize linebackers.
I think we need more up the middle.... but I agree with boltnut that I would prefer to draft IT first.

I do also want a stud linebacker like you said. A three down linebacker that can hammer it on tackles as well as hold his own on coverage

Gotta agree.... another year of drafting 2 linemen in the top rounds and we could have a dominant linemen in the near future.

I hope a tape comes out of McGlichey sniffing glue in basket weaving class.

1. IOL.
2. EDGE.
3. TE.
4. RB.
5. Swing.
6. DB.

Your favorite guy is not position of need. Consider all factors.

My favorite guy is always a position of need. You're only as strong as your weakest link. We have a few along our OL.

BTW, we should save TE Troy Niklas from the Cardinals during FA. Should come cheap. Then we don't have to use a draft pick on a TE.

No more "swing" tackles please. You're only a swing tackle when you're not good enough to start. We got too many of those already. Go get a #1. Plug him in at RT immediately. Groom him for Okung's eventual departure.

We should start calling them by their proper names... Swing (and miss) tackles.
