Default Last minute trades

I was just reading about the many moves that were made this week, including some surprising ones.

It got me thinking which of those I would do for the Chargers.

I'll list the major ones:

NE - SF: Garoppolo, 2nd Rd
HOU - SEA: D. Brown + 5th Rd, 3rd + '19 2nd
CAR - BUF: K. Benjamin, 3rf + 7th
MIA - PHI: Ajayi, 4th
BUF - JAX: Dareus, 6th

First off, I'm really scared now about Jax's D and Philly's O.
What looked like the best team in football just got significantly better.

Coincidentally those were the two best bargains IMO, Ajayi for a 4th is just ridiculous.

I would have gladly traded our 4th and 6th for Ajayi and Dareus.

MG and JA as our Rbs, who would've been able to stop us??

What do you guys think?

Our O-line isn't exactly very good at run blocking......might want to fix that little problem. eh

everybody is high on Ajayi, but he suffered when his O-line got injured as well.

You guys are telling me you wouldn't give up a fourth rounder for Ajayi??

That's the same pick we every year throw away to move up a couple spots in the second round.

I've always wondered about this trade compensation system. I mean, it doesn't seem really fair to get a solid young RB for the price of a pick that 90% of the time doesn't pan out.

Would you rather have Jenkins and Rochelle or Ajayi and Dareus?
Easy one for me.

I would keep the pick, not trade it away for a running back with question marks that might get 8 touches a game. This appears to be another decent draft with respect to depth and, as we saw last year, an impact player may fall to you in rounds 3 & 4.

Perhaps use free agency to tweak the RB group.

But by all means trade for another RB that will fail, for the most part, behind this poor OL.

Keep the pick, use it in the draft......not too difficult of a decision.

This is the exact approach TT needs to be taking.....

Here's our 4th round history:

2017 R. Jenkins
2016 J. Perry
2015 Traded to move up for Gordon
2014 Traded to move up for Attaochu
2013 Traded to move up for Teo
2012 L. Green
2011 Traded for Butler + other picks
2010 D. Stuckey
2009 V. Martin, T. Green, G. Johnson

I would easily rather get Ajayi given the uncertainty of this pick

If you are firm in your belief that the past results form a firm belief in expected future results, then you should make that trade. Of course, if you actually believed that, then you should not be a GM.....
