Well the cries from of few of us before the season started, was to not sign Gates. This is what I expected. We don't need an All Pro tight end in this offense. We just need a tight end that can pose a threat of catching the ball. Now when we get a young Henry show up, that's icing on the cake.

True we don't need it but Green has impressed us with his route running, receiving and run after the catch abilities. I think he's capable of giving Gates lots of rest to take most of the targets.

Love the highlight when he and Eckler we're lined up on the right side. He pulled and Eckler followed and he blocked a guy ten yards down field. Sweet play.

I was stoked when we signed Green. I thought he was a big under the radar signing for the Chargers. Of course because of what he brings as a run blocker. Players like that bring a certain type of toughness and attitude to the team and will do whatever they can to help the team win.

Anything he adds as a receiver extra.

2017's worst stats were rushing offense (24) and defense (31). So far so good.
Rushing O- #11, rushing D #13.
Green, Pouncey and Schofield have made a difference at run blocking.

Green was a receiving TE coming out of college. Had to add muscle & train hard to become a blocker. He did a good job of it but catching the ball is natural for him.
