This year's top OT prospects are not pegged as day 1 starters. I tend to agree therefore I'd be more willing to draft BPA Oline in round 2 for us to develop. A #7 overall pick needs to be the clear and definite starter.
Ramczyk is a day one starter on the right side, especially on this roster.

I agree, I think Ramczyk is the best OT in this class based on limited tape. Also, I'm a huge proponent of completely overhauling the OL in the next few years (save Slauson), so beef is ALWAYS on my radar. That being said... he doesn't have a large body of work, and the fact that he's coming off a hip surgery, its questionable AT BEST that he'll be the most valuable at #7. We have too many holes right now and in the near future to draft for "need". BPA all day.

I'm not going to grab the pitchfork and torch if we take him, but I'll be skeptical that it was the best move for us.

Drafting a guy at #7 to play RT for which other players are rated higher as BPA.

What was Polian's take on drafting tackles?

Default King Dunlap was waived

King Dunap has been waived. I didn't see any mention of that in the discussion about the oline. So, we have Okung, and we have him for run blocking. We have Slauson. Is Tuerk ready to start anywhere on the line? If so that's 3 starters. What about Franklin? Is he healthy? And Barksdale? Then we have Wiggins. So what do we draft for? Right tackle or guard to take over for Fluker? Ramzyck? Who's there in the 2nd round to play guard?

We may have a RG already. Anyone remember Donovan Clark from MSU? He got injured in preseason iirc. They may either bump him up to compete or just draft

Jeremiah's mock on NFL.com has us taking Watson. Maybe this is just to stir the pot, but how upset would everyone be if we took him. It'd be a shocker.

It would be a shocker yet not so much of a surprise if you think about it. Being LA and acquiring fans is a big thing. Bringing in a guy like Watson can add excitement but also a waste of a pick. It would be a Marketing pick over a pick to win now with Rivers

Oh, I am not interested in taking Trubisky @ 7th.....but if I had to take a QB there, he would be the one.

I like Williams @ 7th pick.....or any number of defence prospects.....TT can't go wrong, unless he listens to some nut and takes Cam.
