But like Chop said, that ship has probably already sailed . . . . .
There's not one QB in this upcoming draft who the Chargers can get with where their currently slotted that would make a new fanbase more excited than a 5 time Pro Bowler like Rivers.

Nobody is gonna care with Kellen Clemons at QB for a new team in a new city. Hell nobody would care for that in San Diego either.

Too late, we're not committed.

Rivers for another few years.

Let's hope we get him on a hot streak, he's dang good when he's on the up.

Last 7 seasons for Rivers as the starting QB, his regular season record is 51-59.

That is pretty consistent and mediocre. Clearly he isn't able to be the difference maker. Too many times has the team been in each game with chances to win only to see Rivers perform poorly.

I find it hard to believe that Rivers is the reason the team is competitive enough to win each and every game. But he is not the reason the team fails to actually win the game.

Based on how this team is run... Yes. PR is just wasted talent at this point.

Rivers ... above average athlete, but not a closer. His inability to kick Field Goals is clearly hurting the team (although I give him credit for getting off the field and getting the Field Goal unit on, just at the last).

which is rare. We've changed head coaches, assistant coaches, coordinators, GMs etc............It's time to point the finger at the obvious which is an extrememly overrated QB that doesnt win. Time to look at the real culprit of mediocrity. There are plenty of talented QBs that dont win in this league and he's one of them. Look beyond the talent and the numbers and look at the bottom line which has never been nothing more than average......wins and losses.

1. Reuben Foster (get a top 5 player without a top 5 pick. Foster will be an absolute monster in the pros). Never enough LBs in the NFL and guys like#51 dont belong in the starting lineup.
2. OL
3. Brad Kaaya (time to look forward to a new era at QB)
4. Joe Mixon RB (talented back who'll drop for off field altercation 2 years ago).

We lack talent, so let's get rid of talent so we can win.

What do you guys think caused Philip to be so bad this year? Last year he was part of the problem, but it was mostly the offensive line. How did he change this much in one year? All of us were just waiting almost every game this year to see when he threw his next interception. I wish somebody, even if it's just one of the reporters, would come out and ask him what went wrong.
