That's because they always pick late 1st round... usually they feast on players that should have been picked earlier. You won't find a lot of "sexy" picks there. Since 1999, they've had 17 first round picks. Of those, 4 have been OL and 6 have been DL. Hmmmmmm.....

Of the non-OL/DL 1st round picks... Andy Katzenmoyer, Daniel Graham, Benjamin Watson, Lawrence Maroney, Brandon Meriweather, Jerod Mayo, Delvin McCourty, and Dont'e Hightower...

Gotten much more bang for their buck drafting OL/DL...

great, y'all wanna use the 7th pick in the NFL draft on a guy that played D III for 3 years and then 1 year at the big school?

Exactly.
Then he had labrum surgery on his hip.
Red shirt him for one year-like Tuerk.

You won't find a whole lot of "highlight videos" of OL players.
Hey Nutty, Kirwin said today he likes Isadora.
Good movement skills-no stiff hips here.
Based upon personal, close up observation, all week in Mobile, from Pat Kirwin, a former NFL GM.

Personally I don't expect an OL draft pick in the 1st but if they go that way, I sure wish them luck. They'll be passing up better players.
/agreed

The debate continues...

Yep... Bolles seems to make the most sense (to me) if we're drafting a RT. But I would hope not at #7!

This is about winning football-long term.

You want to be entertained ?

Go to Hollywood Bowl.

Not StubHub.

Robinson has been protected a bit in Alabama's scheme with tight ends and backs providing chip blocks and the dominant running game forcing pass rushers to throttle down. Further, Robinson needs to show greater anticipation and change-of-direction while blocking on the move. Too often defenders are able to slip by him at the second level. Robinson comes with legitimate off-field concerns, as well. He was arrested (along with Alabama teammate Hootie Jones), at closed park in Robinson's hometown of Monroe, Louisiana on troubling drug and weapons charges. Though the charges - which included felony possession of a stolen gun and marijuana -- were later dropped due to insufficient evidence, the incident resulted in both players being placed on indefinite suspension by head coach Nick Saban as well undergo weekly drug tests, meet regularly with police and drug counselors and perform at least 20 hours of community service.
Cam Robinson = DJ Fluker with a record.
