Awesome.
Nice of you to stop by KC. I mean really!

I think you might be the first for the year.

Smack Aside: how are you felling about your team?

The best Offense is a good Defense.

trust but verify (an ole Russian proverb)

on paper all the little piece's fit. none of us know for sure till the season starts. Ried's put together a better O line which has been a major problem to say the least

Smith: trust but verify. he is another X 49er and we've seen that one before.

issues. Smith seems to have trouble locating targets on the run

line

we finally dumped Stanzi, I guess that is why Chase Daniels played the whole 2nd half and OT. and threw the game winner

it seems we have our ST back. better blocking and more TD's run backs

more great news for Moeaki (sarcasm) he's out again. this time a fractured shoulder. im hearing 6-8 weeks maybe even the IR. I don't see Reid keeping him around in spite of the talent. the guy's great but can't stay healthy

we play the Packers tonite. should be more reps for the starters.

If I remember right, that was a Reaganism.

Trust, but verify is a form of advice given which recommends that while a source of information might be considered reliable, one should perform additional research to verify that such information is accurate, or trustworthy. The original Russian proverb is a short rhyme which states, Доверяй, но проверяй (doveryai, no proveryai).

Suzanne Massie, a writer on Russia met with President Ronald Reagan many times between 1984 and 1987. She taught him the Russian Proverb, Doveryai no Proveryai (Trust but Verify) advising him that "The Russians like to talk in proverbs. It would be nice of you to know a few. You are an actor – you can learn them very quickly". The proverb was adopted as a signature phrase by Reagan, who subsequently used it frequently when discussing U.S. relations with the Soviet Union.

After Reagan used the phrase to emphasize "the extensive verification procedures that would enable both sides to monitor compliance with the treaty" at the signing of the INF Treaty, on 8 December 1987, his counterpart General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev responded: "You repeat that at every meeting," to which Reagan answered "I like it." While Reagan quoted Russian proverbs, Gorbachev quoted Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Chiefsgal hosts a Yahoo March Madness B-ball pick-em contest every year, which I lose.
