we didn't add anyone of consequence on defense.

See B4L.

We added Joey Bosa.

He hasn't gotten worse.

Boy was I wrong on that pick.

I would say Williams has been a surprise and the safety play is good, but again, 4 man rush will do a lot.

Perryman at the Mike is key as well.

Finally on the bolded.

Bosa and Perryman were there last year.

Wasn't Trevor?

precisely.
and guess what?
if he's not, i'd happily move on.
I don't remember ever declaring CJ the savior
pull up any of my posts since, you'll see it's
me saying over and over again that I DONT KNOW
and that in theory he should be a good fit with what we want to do
a risk equated to what we gave up for him.

Wait, what are we arguing?

Our current defense is very much playing as last year's did, but better since young players have gotten better.

Defense wasn't an issue last year, nor is it this year.

Also, I never hesitated to admit I was wrong on the Bosa pick.

I have yet to succumb to your demands that HE was wrong in the hold out.

He was wrong.

There's no risk.

We know what's (not) there.

It's an exercise in futility.

I can't wait.

Fact is, put rivers in NE, Den, NO, Pitt even the Giants and hed have multiple championships.
Now, put those teams QBs on the Chargers? Same result. No rings and a bunch of Monday morning QBs
Hi, "hater" here...
the problem with this argument is that we're not talking about what Phil would have done in "NE, Den, NO Pitt even the Giants"
us Haters are merely working with the reality that we are none of those teams and our oline is going to take much more time to be at the calilber of what those teams had in their respective superbowl runs.
time that rivers DOES NOT HAVE
WHY?
is it because we hate rivers and think he's not in the same league as Brees, Brady, Manning(s)?
maybe for some, but i'd say it has probably more to do with getting ran over since hardwick got killed week 1 against the raiders whatever year that was.
since then, rivers has toughed it out through some horrible offensive lines, no running game and soft defense.
this isn't personal, not as personal as you're trying to make it by labeling some people here as "haters"
recognizing that your QB's window is closed doesnt make someone a hater

can we get the rook to re-post that inspiring speech about how pathetic everyone is for not having great expectations or something like that?
i meant to take a screen shot, it was hilarious.
like he was saving all that angst to spew out the monologue of his life.
seriously, rook, PM me, that was classic and i missed it before the mods took it down.
