Would this be an appropriate thread, Mods?
It does have a negative vibe and all, but I think it's entirely relevant to our cause right now. I think it's a little more general than the draft thread.
But maybe we can keep the negativity contained to this thread as well?

Beat Oakland and I will be happy. All the other games I don't care if we win or lose anymore.

we don't have the heart to beat Oakland, hell if it wasn't for the long snapper going down in the first meeting we would of lost. and just our luck we beat the Faiders and ruin our spot in the lottery....

Heart has nothing to do with it. Even crappy O-Line can give Rivers enough time to destroy them.

I dont even care if we beat the Raiders. I hope we get into the top 3. That would provide more options as far as trades and such.

We could find ourselves in the top 5 in 2 weeks. Now that we have 8 losses, I don't really care if we win anymore as I see little benefit left in this season other than the fact that some of the younger players will get some playing time.

It's officially time to focus on the 2013 season.

Norv has no reason to give the younger players playing time to see what they have since he won't be here next season. No potential interim coach has any reason to play them because he would not be coach next season. there is no one on this team that cares about next season, even AJ I bet, since I am hoping he is gone next season as well. we are stuck watching the vets til the end of season unfortunately.

Not necessarily given our injury situation. I agree that Norv will play his best players but we're simply running out of healthy bodies at key positions. AJ and Norv will do everything they can (as they should) to help us win this season. Unfortunately, our O line situation is so bad that that we'll struggle to win even 1 more game this season.

A top 8 draft pick should assure us of a top 2 OT or the top OG in the draft. It could also put us in good position to field trade offers.

IMO if the 2 top OTs are off the board and we are picking 8ish, i would trade down and take warmack around 15 and pick up another pick hopefully in round 2, or whatever we can get. My guess is a team like CIN with an extra pick in the second moves up to take teo, but they may be picking too far down for us to make a trade with them and still land warmack.
