I wish all fans here would take the one week at a time approach.

I'm a Chargers fan who looks forward to every game. Seriously. I see some who say things like what's the point if we don't win the SB?
???
Competing to win 16 great weeks? More if we do good?
I love the competition. Even if we aren't doing well in the playoff picture there's a chance to ruin somebody else's year.

Significant is hyperbole but he was discussed as being competent D-Line depth and even possible starter on a D-Line that has sucked basically since the Marty days. Seeing him cut 3 weeks in to the season for a TE who was cut in September is no question a disappointment, to me anyway.

If we as fans are going to be disappointed at a free agency pick-up so far it should be Franklin. He was our big signing (money and name) which virtually everyone was excited about. He hasn't played up to his salary, although it is way too early to write him off.

Unrein was a roster filler (depth) signing that was seen to have some potential to add value to the DL. He was signed for $1.9M over two years, just slightly over the veteran minimum for players with 4-6 years experience($745K per year). The fact that he was signed off waivers right away shows that he does have some ability.

To make any sort of big deal or to take a shot at Telesco over signing Unrein comes across to me as just having unrealistic expectations. It is unrealistic to think every cheap FA signing will pan out or every draft pick will become a hit. No GM always strikes gold.

Well not every throw is a completion and not every catch is a first down. If Miller posts that line tomorrow then he will have done a great job for being back on the roster less than a week. AND he will have performed his role VERY effectively.
