Something to think about when looking at the remaining teams in the playoffs.

Top 4 scoring teams in the NFL this season: 1.Chiefs 2.Rams 3.Saints 4.Patriots

Three commonalities among these offenses:

1. They’re great at using formations to out-leverage the defense. The Patriots and Chiefs are brilliant flexing into different spread alignments. The Saints are, too, and they also condense their formations, putting more receivers near the middle of the field, where they can run rub routes and are a threat to go in any direction. And the Rams, of course, live in condensed formations almost full-time.

2. They incorporate jet-sweep action significantly in their designs, adding complexity to even the most basic of plays.

3. They use their running backs in the passing game. The Rams and Chiefs have expansive backfield screen games. So do the Patriots and Saints, who also have unique flex weapons in James White and Alvin Kamara.

3 wild card teams won on the first week.

Zero won the next week.

Flying back west then returning to the east coast wasn't the best idea.

I still really want a new (and possibly younger OC).Rivers is a great Q.B. and will adapt. This offense should be scary good except for TT's lack of drafting good o linemen yet it struggles and looks bland and generic alot of the time.Too much of the same o same o.Think outside the box!

Offense was the biggest let down. I don't think the Defense was capable of holding them to much less than their average at best. Don't sustain drives and can't score - you get Sundays results.
The offense failed on one drive, and they were already down 21 - 7 in Foxboro. Who comes back from being down 21 - 7 in Foxboro? Game was probably over by that point. A total disaster for the D; the offense did not distinguish itself.

If the team was exhausted, why did Lynn play them 4 quarters against Denver? Coaching staff had them unprepared for what happened. They would have lost that game at Stub Hub.

I'll take new and innovative on offense.

The offense the past few years has looked a lot like my wash cycle: wash, rinse, repeat.

We got schooled by the Pats - I believe that this game will be one we will point back to and say......? What, I am not sure, but it will be a turning point one way or another. Now it's up to the staff to take what they learned and make improvements. And its up to Telesco to find some more physical players at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. 17 probably has 2-3 more really good years left so the window is small. If we allow pressure up the middle we will not win. Rivers can step up in the pocket and bob and weave with the best of them, but he cannot run out of the pocket and make plays, usually just throws it away at best. Guess we will see what happens with 28 - I have never been a huge fan, not enough suddenness (the 2 NE backs are not as heralded and are much more explosive). He works best with a pitch back and a 7 yard view of the defense and that is not realistic on a consistent basis like in college.

We need to draft or sign a stud DT who can push the pocket and also run-stuff...

Can we pay the Pats' O-line coach $100M? Like seriously, what the heck did he put in those guys' food to make them play like this in the postseason?
