That is drool-worthy. Scherff and Duke Johnson in the same draft would be insane, and I think, one of the best case scenarios you could hope for as a Chargers fan. I'd be very tempted to put a "Green-Chip" (citation: Time4aRing) label on Scherff if he displayed better consistent slide speed - then again, that is the only reason the Chargers can even sniff him as a pick at 17.
I love this draft. How much? I haven't watched any of the prospects past the 2nd round, and I don't care if the rest all bust.

I am hesitant to throw down green chips on OT's. Joe Thomas worked out. Eric Fisher didn't. Eugene Monroe was middle of the pack. Trent Williams worked out. Fisher scarred me, I don't know that I can recover. (I still think he balls out at LT this year, putting him at RT was dumb)

Do me a favor and spend a couple minutes on the rest of the prospects. :P

I'm interested to hear what you have to say about Golden and Golson in particular.

I'll go watch Golden, since I need to watch DT's today as it is. Not watching a 4th round CB though, ain't got the time for that. I am pretty much Top 100 only these days.

Golden reminds me of Brooks Reed, with a little less closing speed. I wouldn't be terribly upset with that pick in the 3rd(especially considering we shored up RG/RB) but Golden is not the flavor of pass rusher that I prefer.

Dont need one. We signed Patrick Robinson today to a 1 year deal. I think we have enough going in but maybe we pick up another after June 1st.

Agreed. If they draft one 5-7 then I won't care nor would I be surprised.

I agree. I only watched one late season game he was in, probably leading up to the college championship games, and he was everywhere making plays. His name was always being called for making great plays. I was extremely impressed by his play. I think I was even saying then how I hoped that the Chargers could get him in the draft.
