Then i guess we shouldn't nitpick about the few thousand empty seats either...

Spanos doesn't get off that easy. No reason a professional football team shouldn't sell out a stadium that size preseason or not.

Either way, we can all assume regular season will sell out. Just gotta hope a majority of them are Charger fans.

What does this mean?

A) It was sold out.

B) Not every seat was physically occupied -- nor has it been at any preseason game around the NFL (at least not that I've seen). Certainly not all of them.

I still can't find any LA Chargers stuff anywhere in LA County. When I would drive to SD the Chargers stuff was EVERYWHERE today in Walmart I seen RAMS & STEELERS shirts No Chargers. I guess Spanos doesn't really want a fan base just people in the Luxury Booths wearing suits and high dollar dresses.

So those 2 preseason games were sold out but people just didn't show up?

I'm not talking about the rest of the NFL, I'm talking about Stub Hub. Why does everyone try to compare Stub Hub to the rest of the NFL?

An NFL team in a new city should easily fill a stadium the size of Stub Hub, but they are not... This is not good, preseason or not. Am I missing something?

Yes. That is correct.

Yes, you are. You said "no reason a professional football team shouldn't sell . . . . " -- thus making a blanket statement. If you want to judge the Chargers by a global standard, applicable to all professional football teams, it's disingenuous to ask why others try to compare to the rest of the NFL. We're just responding to your exact point.

Spanos has increased the value of the team significantly just by the Move to LA. He makes a lot of Money off revenue sharing/tV.

He should reward the loyal San Diego Ticket holders with free season ticket until the great Stadium is build. After all, they have been better fan the the Owners.
