Hoping that whoever had the biggest voice in this year's draft continues to have a loud voice going forward. IMHO best Chargers draft since 2004. Add in the FA pickups & it was the best offseason in a long, long time.

I agree completely, and I suspect it was TT making the calls......but who knows.

In terms of calling out ownership apparently ESPN has gotten the clue as well (ref: What every coachless NFL team offers and needs)

Weakness: ownership. The Chargers may have as talented a roster as any of the available vacancies when everybody's healthy, but it's difficult to imagine them attracting a top-level head coach given the uncertainty surrounding the organization. It's still unclear whether the Chargers will be in San Diego come 2017, and this is the same ownership group that unnecessarily ran Eric Weddle out of town and held an irrationally firm line on Bosa's contract earlier this year, as they have with rookie deals for years now. Bosa held out in camp, hurt his hamstring as he tried to get ready to play, and then missed the first month of the season as the Chargers lost three games by a combined 11 points. You think Mike McCoy is happy San Diego held a firm line in negotiating now?

The Chargers have to do what they couldn't do during mid 2000's LT's prime. Win and dominate. San Diego loves a winner and certainly came out in droves to support the San Diego Chargers.

LA is a city of winners too. The Chargers have to win big now or they will be playing to even smaller crowds than San Diego. Tough to compete with the LA fan...Lakers, Rams, Kings and Dodgers/ Angels games. Even the UCLA Bruins and USC Trojans take a part of the LA fan's weekend. I've been to a Bruin game or two they'll have a much bigger fan base than the Chargers debut last week.

Winning 9 games in the past two years simply won't cut it in LA. Gotta win now fellas.

The article's bias motives are questionable at best but you can't avoid the facts/stats. Those attendance numbers are pathetic no matter how much homer spin you place on it. This is going to be an interesting season...
