I think the DL is good, not great. My own opinion is after the starters we are extremely average at best.
I guess it'll be short lived, because I actually like our depth on paper. We'll see how that pans out once they're able to start smacking each other in the mouth here in a couple of more weeks. It's an aging Mebane who is coming off of surgery, along with a regressing Liuget who have me worried the most.

Other DTs have experienced fairly dramatic changes in performance with minor changes in scheme. We're due for a plus experience!
Square has backed up Mebane and done well. Palepoi ain't too shabby. Carrethers is a slow developing longshot now but is still the thickest, strongest Charger. If he grasps technique & timing, he's a beast.
I can't see Square taking Corey's spot. IMO, Reid and Philon are much better suited for the 3T.

This defence looks good, but they still have a whole bunch of 'prove it' before anyone really takes notice ......I am hoping this year they gain plenty of belief in themselves, making next year the year for statements of grandeur.
We're all just speculating and I mean ALL.
Some see more potential than others but it's just idle chatter to while away the remaining days until practice begins for real in 2 weeks and we're 4 weeks out from the Seattle at LAC televised preseason game.
Every team has something to prove in a new year & I want to get started.

What the hell is "extremely average at best ?"

Palepoi, Square, Reid play with energy and have well defined roles.

Matt Slauson is average, at worst.

Warning: Sheriff put Eye in charge of crowd control and monitoring of extremely bad takes.

Don't make me use the dreaded water cannon.

Just doing my job.

Freak would never ugly-cry about someone on CMB disagreeing with him.

And if by some strange circumstance he did, he would not whine about it for months to come.

That is either vague terms for backup sub scrubs, or their defined roles were leading the way to the medical department. I guess it could be both.
